Hello Forum!
I recently was able to achieve approval of my PSLF Loan Forgiveness Application! If you have been to my site, you know that I have written about this topic before, but I held off on writing anything about applying for and getting forgiveness because it had yet to happen for me. Now that I have been through the wringer, I wanted to share my experience and provide some advice to people. I hope this is helpful to people. If you have any questions, just comment here or on the website. I will do my best to answer your question (and I am sure others will too).
Just know, that while it was a long and painful process at times, there is hope!

Super-helpful post, especially given the uncertainty that's been swirling around the program.

Re: Applying for PSLF Loan Forgiveness - My Advice
Good advice, OP!
From where I stand (and I still have half way to go), I think it all comes down to applying for the employer certification each and every year like they recommend. Once this is done, you get annual verification that your employer meets the requirements as well as notice of how many qualifying payments that you've made until that point.
I find that many people do not do the annual employer certification form filing and then apply for the PSLF under the mistaken assumption that they either made enough qualifying payments or that their employer counters as a qualifying employer. Filing annually should help you avoid any surprises in this regard.
