District Attorney's Office 2019
Starting to drive myself crazy so thought I'd start a thread for the Fall 2019 class. Anyone interview at any of the NYC DA's offices and hear back yet?

Going back to Bronx and Brooklyn for my panel interview next week. I had my screeners the first week of August. I heard back from Brooklyn about a week ago and Bronx told me in my screener that I would move on to panel. I also had screeners with Queens and Nassau but haven't heard anything from those offices since.

They told you in the screener? Damn. I also have Bronx this week. Don't have Brooklyn till next month. Had screeners with Queens, Nassau, & Suffolk. My DANY screener is in a few weeks, not sure why they're so late.Anonymous User wrote:Going back to Bronx and Brooklyn for my panel interview next week. I had my screeners the first week of August. I just got a letter in the literal mail from Nassau telling me I'm moving forward to the second stage and to call and schedule a panel.Anonymous User wrote:Going back to Bronx and Brooklyn for my panel interview next week. I only applied to Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Brooklyn received my application but ghosted me. Queens gave me a screener in August and then ghosted me. I had my first round with Manhattan in September, second and third rounds in November, and offer in early January.Anonymous User wrote:Congrats! I had panels at Bronx and Brooklyn this week. Both were similarly set up. General resume, why DA, why this office questions and then hypos. They were tough but fair hypos. Missing witness and impeachment type questions. Also ethical police search questions.

I think it was about 45 minutes or so. My Brooklyn interview was closer to an hour and fifteen, I think.

For those that have been interviewed on any cycle how much would you say grades played a factor into you being selected for an interview?

Re: District Attorney's Office 2019
I've had several DAs tell me grades really don't matter too much. Like you don't need to be top 10% to be selected, they much rather see that you can perform well under pressure and speak well about it.nyboundesq wrote:For those that have been interviewed on any cycle how much would you say grades played a factor into you being selected for an interview?

Has anyone heard from Philly or Cook County IL?

Have a final round interview this week. I know it varies but does anyone know how long it typically takes after final round to hear about a decision?

Is it correct to assume that a offer is on the way when, after doing multiple interviews, your references are called and a background check is begun?
Also, has no one heard from Philly or Miami-Dade?

Are you sure that’s for the 2019 class? They just announced a ton of brand-new hires for immediate start. They also announced a recruiting tour last week. My sense is that their process is barely starting up... I hope.Anonymous User wrote:I know of a number of philly offers that are out in the world.Anonymous User wrote:Is it correct to assume that a offer is on the way when, after doing multiple interviews, your references are called and a background check is begun?
