Haven't heard anything yet either..
From past experiences, OCIJ likely won't designate finalists until the end of next week

Also curious to see where other OCIJ candidates ranked and how many places they put down?
Interviewed with OCIJ in NYC on Nov 2. References were checked on Nov. 8 and told to respond to email survey by Nov 12. Hopefully this means things are moving forward?

Former supervisor BCC'd me to the email (he's a saint) the person checking my references was an Attorney Advisor in DC (I LinkedIn creeped). Does any know if the reference checking process is centralized or Court specific?

Also I ranked maybe 10 places max - places in the Greater NYC area (live in Hoboken/clerking in NJ), DC/Virginia, and Ohio (I'm from Cleveland).

Oh... I didn’t get a survey. I guess I’ll start preparing for that no finalist life :( I ranked like 20 places but I don’t know if that makes a difference.

When you say survey do you mean the list of places they gave us to rank?

I believe anon is referring to a survey sent to his reference, so the guy above shouldn't freak out too much.

Anon is actually a female FYI :) but you are correct, my reference was sent an email survey re my qualifications, etc. on Nov. 8 and told to response by the 12th. He BCC’d me so I could see his response and so I was in the loop on things. So no need to panic.

References were checked a few days after the interview back in October. Nothing since then.

Cool, I know at least on of my references was checked last week, but I'm not sure about my other two references. Good luck in the process![/quote]
