My speculation is that they're still contacting people to interview.Anonymous User wrote:Applied to PDS and still haven't heard from them about an interview. 3L at a T14 school with PD internships at 4 different offices (semesters and both summers) + clinic. Anybody else who still hasn't heard? Or should I take this as bad news?

Anyone with any hints, tips, and/or stories on what New Hampshire PD's second round panel interview is like?
All I can find on these forums is that they may grill me on grades. Any idea what the hypo is like?

But yes, I did, thanks. And my sympathies to you, friend. I think it's safe to say we've all felt the sting of rejection. Why, just yesterday I got rejected from two other offices. Back to sending out more applications for me. And makin' some sangria in the terlet.

I'm guessing they gave you the run down of what you'll be doing i.e. an opening if not I can provide more details based on last year. I don't know about the grilling on grades but they will most likely grill you on the law a little bit. Like be ready to more or less recite the standards for Terry or whatever. GOOD LUCK!Scruffy_the_Janitor wrote:Anyone with any hints, tips, and/or stories on what New Hampshire PD's second round panel interview is like?

PD offices don't understand there's a huge advantage in being the first to make an offer.

MMMHM. With some offices it's like it never even occurs to them that most of their potential applicant pool cannot even apply because it's later than everyone else's answer deadline, and sometimes even the state bar registration deadline.

I would appreciate more details if you could provide any. Basically they just told me that I would receive an info packet an hour prior and present before a panel. If you'd like, you can just PM me but yeah, definitely interested in more details.Anonymous User wrote:I'm guessing they gave you the run down of what you'll be doing i.e. an opening if not I can provide more details based on last year. Screw them anyway. $40k a year in NYC is poverty wages. Unless you'd like to be single and live in a closet for the rest of your life it isn't really worth it anyway.Anonymous User wrote:Indeed. Same anon who got dinged above - I'm living on less now, in Manhattan. $40K would allow me to buy the good ramen that comes with its own cup.Tanicius wrote:guys pls we've had this fight before, let's all chill, there are NYC'ers pinch pennis and make it work, and you can also marry a doctor, which Spleen is doing anywayAnonymous User wrote:40k/year aint bad at all if you live in the Bronx.

Congrats! Either LAS isn't sticking to its new policy of doing all first rounds before moving onto the second, or I can expect a ding from them shortly, I guess.hoopstarDAYUM wrote:Bronx dinged me, whatevas.

By 2nd round, do you mean post-EJW screener you were invited to a panel? I already did my panel with LAS back in SeptemberAnonymous User wrote:Congrats!
