Just got an acceptance call from Active Dury Army JAG. The board won’t be posted this year, but letters are being sent out this Friday.

After 5 denials from the Air Force, I got Army on my first attempt!

Now I just need to get in a little better shape :)
That is great news, I am waiting on Army National Guard results after 4 ADUSAF rejections! Hope to hear good news!
Do you know if they are going to release results today as well?
Last year’s September and November AF Boards only took two weeks, but this year’s September board was 3 weeks, so my money is on next Monday.

Sorry, was asking about Army Guard, not AF.

Any reasons why they're not posting the lists this year?

What makes you think Friday? Isn’t it usually Monday or Tuesday?

I got the call from my FSO that I was selected for AD Army JAG this week as well! I was very surprised as I was not expecting to hear anything until December.

I guess next steps are to wait for the letter in the mail. I'm likely to be out of town when the letter arrives, I hope there is no time sensitive information in it about how to accept our offers. Are any Army JAGS/selectees around that remember how that process worked?

Congratulations to the folks who got a call from their FSO with good news! I'm looking forward to commiserating with everyone as we go through the (year-long?) process of medical examinations/paperwork/waiting for a class date.

Its looking like it will probably be after Thanksgiving. The always send out the update email a week (or sometimes more) before and we still haven't received it. Not saying it is impossible we here tomorrow, but I would bet my life we don't.

If I remember correctly, I think we had about two weeks to accept our offer. But we did that via email.

Ah, so the offer is somewhat time sensitive. Hopefully, I can just accept via e-mail and there will not be any issues receiving the letter a bit late.

Does anyone know if Army will be sending out rejection emails/letters? And since no list is being posted, are they not doing alternates this year?

I am curious about this as well. I suppose the benefit is that I do not have to worry about the off chance that someone at my current employer stumbles upon board results and asks questions.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything to come in the mail. In fact, I think the only thing I got in the mail from the Army was a form letter of congratulations over the summer. Almost all communication is done over email.

They are doing alternates this year. I am an Army Reserve Alternate. I found out via email this morning! This is my second time as an alternate. Hopefully I get a spot this round! Good luck and congratulations everyone!

Long time lurker here— thank you to everyone who has participated in this lively and educational forum over the past 10 years. I received an offer for AD Army and waiting on the results of AD AF.

I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts about the likelihood of being placed in the DC region on an initial assignment in the Army or AF? My fiancé and I currently live in the DC area and her career is centered here. I know an assignment in the region is unlikely in any branch, but I was wondering if between the two there’s a higher likelihood of being assigned to DC? We have discussed and are ready to go where assigned, but it would be great if she could have two more years in a career before being uprooted. Thanks in advance!

I’m guessing it’ll be a couple weeks.

I also received an offer for AD Army and am waiting on AD AF. Are you asking for an extension for the Army acceptance deadline or just going ahead and accepting with the potential of choosing AF anyways?

Page three of the statement of intent seems to contemplate this situation, so I am planning to accept, unless we hear something from AF this week. Good luck!

I’m pretty sure most of the AF will go on leave Wednesday afternoon and not be back until next Monday morning. Don’t expect to hear anything on Friday.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
