I applied for one of the regional offices. I applied a day or two before the deadline. The email came from someone in the national office, though.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:13 amWhen did you apply? Is it for DC or regional office?

+1 on wanting hear about NLRB Board and GC! I've heard mixed messages about interview requests--someone I know got an initial interview almost right away last year and was asked to send over writing samples/supplemental material soon after, but then still didn't hear anything til late Nov/early Dec. So maybe there will be some movement soon!

I just wrapped up my second round DOT interviews. They said they aim to make decisions by Thanksgiving, but more realistically it will be around Christmas.

I had my screener for NSA just last week. My interviewer told me they meet in 2 weeks to discuss next round interviews with GC and deputy GC, and I would know more then and he mentioned at the latest and more realistically in a 3-4 weeks.
I interview for DHS (no ICE) Thursday. They seem to be moving fast.

I also just got an invitation for first-round interview for DHS. I applied to HQ only (no ICE). Haven't heard back from FCC, FTC, or DOS.

When I interview a month ago for DOL they had asked where I'd like to work I said HQ, and they explained that the screeners just volunteer to interview people it is not necessarily for the place you apply. They just screen, make a recommendation and send it up.

Can you let me know how the DHS interview went and if it was similar to NSA's screener? I'm especially curious to hear how a no-ICE interview goes--if they ask about national security/technology/etc. experience/interest versus a general interest in the rotations.

I just got an email saying my IRS job status changed and when I look at the USA jobs page nothing is different but once I go on the treasury page there is a comment next to the application that says "referred." Otherwise, haven't heard much else from the IRS.

+1 here as well! Good luck to both of you. Hopefully we hear something sooner rather than later - graduation is coming up fast and I sure would enjoy having gainful employment.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 12:53 pm+1 on wanting hear about NLRB Board and GC! Its pretty much the standard cookie-cutter template, very similar to NSA.

Rejected by NRC last week. Anyone heard from ACOE? I had my screener about two weeks ago, heard they take forever to hire though.
Also, anyone heard anything from FERC?

Has anyone heard back from NSA about second round interviews or from Department of State about initial interviews?

I was told not to expect to hear anything before the holidays from ACOE. But my friend didn't get hired until May!! so the process takes forever.IAmMuirMan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 1:19 pmRejected by NRC last week. Anyone heard from ACOE? Not technically an honors program, but wanted to provide a data point because it seems like the kind of job folks interested in government service would apply for: I got dinged at the Massachusetts AGO. Hope somebody on here had better luck than I did!

Got an invite to interview with DOL so they're still doing first rounds if you're still waiting. Applied around the deadline.

This is the first time I'll speak with them. Don't know if that makes it a first interview or screener. The email called it an interview. It'll be 30 mins over video. I didn't go through OCI (I'm a clerk).
