Anyone get an offer with a less than two week timeline? I know for doj they have to give you two weeks. Is that true for other departments?

Re: Honors Attorney Program 2019-2020 (non-DOJ)
For the record, I got a DOJ USTP offer with a 4-day turnaround (over Thanksgiving, so 3 real days) so idk how solid that guideline is. My understanding as to other programs is that each is different and basically none of them have a guideline like the DOJ's that would prevent them from giving a quick-turnaround offer.shenan9944 wrote:Anyone get an offer with a less than two week timeline? Re: Honors Attorney Program 2019-2020 (non-DOJ)
DOL sent emails today saying I'm under "active consideration" and asking me to confirm that I'm still interested and if so, in which offices. Does anyone know from past years what this might mean? I.e., what are the chances of getting an offer (especially from one of the regional offices, which only have one opening)? I have a deadline coming up to respond to another job offer and I'm trying to gauge my chances at DOL...

I received the same email. I heard that this email means we made it past one round of cuts and if we make it further we receive an email asking for references. After that, three days later people received phone offers.

If you didn't get the email saying you are still under active consideration, does that basically mean you've been cut?

I only got mine yesterday, so they might be going out gradually.Anonymous User wrote:If you didn't get the email saying you are still under active consideration, does that basically mean you've been cut?

Has anyone that interviewed with CFPB gotten an offer or rejection yet?

not me. also, i know this is probably a stretch / impossible, but did anyone ask about the possibility to placement in a regional office rather than DC?Ensign Ro wrote:Has anyone that interviewed with CFPB gotten an offer or rejection yet?

This appears to be the case; only got mine a couple days after this post. (I think I probably interviewed late relative to people who had theirs at OGI, so they may just be going in order of first contact?)Shfkabshvjsa wrote:I only got mine yesterday, so they might be going out gradually.Anonymous User wrote:If you didn't get the email saying you are still under active consideration, does that basically mean you've been cut?
Looking back at past threads, it appears that (a) we're a couple weeks behind when finalist emails have gone out for DoL in recent years (ignoring the shutdown last year), and (b) it looks like reference requests for those selected for offers should probably come in a couple weeks (but who knows how the interaction with the holidays will affect that, esp. given the open question of whether regional offices want to conduct separate interviews).

Looks like there's gonna be a HUD Legal Honors Program this year.
https://www.hud.gov/sites/dfiles/CFO/do ... 4-2-19.pdf
Legal Honors and Succession Planning. In 2020, 168 of OGC’s current employees are eligible for full retirement. This represents over 30 percent of OGC’s current workforce. The lynchpin of OGC’s succession planning efforts is its Legal Honors Program. The Legal Honors program is over 50 years old. OGC backfills attorney attrition with Legal Honors at the GS -11 level and then invests in their training and professional development. The 2020 President’s Budget funding will allow OGC to restart its Legal Honors program and bring a class of at least 15 Legal Honors to start in September 2019 and whose salaries will largely be paid in fiscal year 2020. Due to the uncertainty of personnel funding in 2018, OGC put a 1-year hold on its program and did not onboard a class in September 2018. This has hampered OGC’s succession planning efforts and restarting and maintaining the program is a top priority. In 2020, OGC will hire a class of 15 Legal Honors to start in September 2020.

Anyone hear anything from FDIC? I Interviewed in front of the panel about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. They said they would be making offers in early December. Radio silence since.

Same, except I interviewed slightly later. I've assumed they made a first round of offers already, but no info as to whether that's the case.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone hear anything from FDIC? Well, they sent the reimbursement form email to "undisclosed users" the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so I figure they finished their interviews that week, didn't do anything from Thanksgiving until yesterday and are checking references this week. I don't see them making offers before next week but I wanted to see if I was mistaken.Anonymous User wrote:Same, except I interviewed slightly later. I also have not heard from CFFB. I am wondering if they are even going to have an honors program. They didn't last year.

I had this same thought/fear. The total silence is worrisome, but I don't understand why they would have gone through the expense of flying people in for interviews if the hiring budget wasn't solid. Unfortunately I think I'm gonna have to withdraw to take another offerAnonymous User wrote:I also have not heard from CFFB. I am wondering if they are even going to have an honors program. I got a call from a West Virginia number, which was like the Fed Reserve HR Dep't, and then another call from a 202. And then an email with the hard offer. I'll be in the Legal Division.Locolojo wrote:Congrats! Did you get a call or an email? And which division?Anonymous User wrote:I got a reference check on Monday and then an offer yesterday. Woohoo! Hey, for those who got "you remain under consideration" emails for DOL, did you hear from someone in D.C. or from a regional office?
Got a regional office follow-up interview recently and trying to read the tea leaves on what that means for my national chances.
