Re: Military Law
I'm realistically inclined to agree, though I'm still kind of hopeful that we're in the window of possibility at this point. Based on the previous release dates, releasing today would be one of the earliest, so not incredibly likely. That said, it seems like the board met really early this time so I wouldn't be surprised if the release date was also early. No way to tell, of course, but well within the realm of possibility I think.trustdan wrote:

Do all the calls go out on the same day? I'm under the impression that they're spread out over a week or so. I'm just trying to anticipate seeing someone got the call and not freaking out immediately if I didnt.

I think Navy was within the same hour or two last December. But those are centralized from Millington. You'd probably have to dig several pages back to see AF.Kelaw364 wrote:Do all the calls go out on the same day? I'm under the impression that they're spread out over a week or so. Re: Military Law
Its based on when the ASJ calls. From what i understand, an internal AF email goes out that says who got accepted. At that point the ASJ that interviewed you will call you when they have the time.w7ldcard wrote:Last year I believe calls went out from Oct 30 - Nov 7.Kelaw364 wrote:Do all the calls go out on the same day? I think it was a page or two ago but they looked back the past 5 years: 3 x Friday 1 x Wednesday 1 x Tuesday.Kahlo wrote:Odds good for tomorrow or no?w7ldcard wrote:Since in the past 5 years notifications haven't gone out on a Monday, I didnt have much hope for today.usfvictor wrote:welp... another day and no news

For all of us that are subscribed to this forum and get the email alerts when there is a post, please, I beg of you, stop posting guesses on when the SJA calls might go out. Calls will go out when they go out. It is probably soon. Speculating if Tuesday is going to be the day does not help you and is driving the rest of us nuts. I promise that once folks start getting calls, it will be reported here in short order.

Question, did you have a problem inputting your LSAT score? Every time I do it it ends up disappearing after I leave the page and return. I'm ready to submit my application but can't get this to work on my PC or MAC, and regardless of which browser I use.frankbeans wrote:Just thought I would see if there were any other applicants for the upcoming Army Active Duty Board.

I had problems with the website in general but I was able to get everything in. It might just be a glitch. Go to the last page and see if it shows up there. It might be in the system just not showing up on that page.

Re: Military Law
What do you mean by the last page? Do you get a chance to review when you hit submit before it is official? When I do the print preview at the end it is not included in that.Kelaw364 wrote:I had problems with the website in general but I was able to get everything in. It might just be a glitch. BTW I am applying reserves if that matters.

Yeah I was active duty but it should be the same. It showed up on the review page for me. I filled out the application almost a month ago but from what I remember there was a chance to review it.Anonymous User wrote:What do you mean by the last page? I've asked them a few questions, and they've been really helpful.

I had trouble with inputting the LSAT score as well. I entered my score a couple of times, but whenever I refreshed the page, only the "yes/no" answers blocks were visible, my score wasn't there. I'm sure in the grand scheme of things, it isn't a big problem.

I had issues with my LSAT report as well. On my end the pdf look fine and uploaded no problem but on the AF end it turned out that much of the sheet was blank including the score. I didn't find out until my interview when the SJA pointed it out. I ended up taking a screen shot of the LSAT report on my end and then submitting that new pdf and it worked.

So looks like it's not today.
Anyone else unable to figure out how to apply for the December board? When I log in to the system, it doesn't give me an option to submit a new application for December. All I can do is see the one I submitted for October.

Apologies to Patrick and others, but I really hope we're notified for Air Force today. Any much longer, and we'll be at a disadvantage for the Dec board, assuming we're not selected this round. Seems slightly premature to request my recommenders for their letters again without knowing the results, but at the same time, I want to give them enough time.

I wouldn't lose hope just yet. It looks like they were notified late afternoon last year. The Facebook post says the application will reopen on Sunday for the Oct applicants. We should probably call them if we don't hear anything back by Tues or so.So looks like it's not today.

Re: Military Law
Hey folks - Spring 2015 Air Force OYCP selectee here, figured now that I'm on the accessions end of things I'd provide some updates on things I had questions about a year ago. I have zero knowledge of how things work for people going through DAP, so none of the below applies to that program.
1) FTAP pay - my year (field training summer 2015) did in fact get paid for FTAP. However, it wasn't until April or May of 2016, so definitely don't make any time-sensitive financial plans involving FTAP pay. Also note that for us, field training was 27 days long - it was shortened this past summer, and there's no way of knowing how long it will be in the future. The point is, if your field training + FTAP experience is shorter than 28 days, you might not get paid. Maybe someone who went this past summer can speak to that.
2) Post-bar timeline - If you came through the GLP or OYCP programs, don't expect to be on active duty the second you get your bar results. You should make sure you have a plan to pay your bills and such for most of the remainder of the year if necessary. Several of us took the bar in states that deliver fast results, so just be aware, getting results early doesn't necessarily mean getting paid early.
3) Base selection - you do in fact get to fill out a new base selection sheet, so don't worry, you're not married to the terrible choices you regret submitting with your application.
Obviously all of the above could change in the future, but its how things worked for us 2016 grads.
