Could the election affect honors program hiring or the honors program stability for those who are hired?
Not to my knowledge - generally, the government doesn’t authorize a hire unless the money has already been designated for these positions. The issue will be what the program looks like/which components hire in future years. More EOIR/IJ slots, fewer civil rights?

Was this civil or criminal?
Which day did your status go to finalist?

Civil/changed to finalist on Nov. 13. Apologies, to avoid doxxing issues I can't give more info (not sure when other people's offers are being made) but I hope that's helpful!

Guessing more than usual number of students/clerks will decline offers now that they’ll be working for Matt Gaetz?
I suspect that this won't be true except for the few extremely politically fragile departments (see, e.g., civil rights). I cant imagine people super interested in Antitrust for example are going to turn down a HP offer. If anything, if they are all fired in 2 years, their resume will still signal to firms/private practice that they were qualified enough for the HP which still gives them a strong credential.

Is Avue down for anyone else right now? Really putting a damper on my "refresh every five minutes" strategy
edit: seems to be back up now.

Any other updates from those who applied to ATR?

I'm listed as a finalist on Avue but am coming up on timelines for other offers and just trying to get a sense of how much movement there is right now.

Anyone know how long between being designated a finalist and offer calls go out?

Have two components ATR Crim and AFFP that went to finalist. One went Wed 11/13 the other Sunday 11/25. When is it safe to assume I’m an alternative and not first offer?

If ATR is the Washington office, they sent out first round Crim offers last week so you're an alternate for them, unfortunately. For AFFP I would say don't assume until you hear of other people getting first round offers.

Clearly some ATR offers have gone out. Hard to know whether it's the entire first-round. I went finalist 11/13 for ATR and no offer thus far.

I also went finalist for ATR Crim on 11/13 but haven’t heard about offers. I did however get an offer from AFFP on Monday (11/18).

I got an offer from ATR Crim last week and rejected by AFFP when I followed-up this week, seems like both have given out offers then

I got offered last week for Crim Tax. I haven’t heard back anything from my other components (though I know ATR Civil called references). Two questions:

1. Any thoughts on how well regarded Crim Tax is? Is it worth it as a DOJ Honors program over a really good NY firm?
2. Where do people see if they are a finalist for other components? On Avue it says Offer Issued under status but all my other components aren’t in my Selected By. Does that mean I’m out for them?

It looks like at least one person in here has received an offer for antitrust civil. Has anyone heard of any other civil offers? My status changed to finalist on the 13th and I haven't heard anything since.
