Congratulations. I didnt get selected for any even though I have 15 years of federal experience and national security background. Very upsettingAnonymous User wrote:I just got the email: selected to interview with both components I listed (CRT and EOIR).
Good luck to all today!
(and also, have hope...I'm coming straight from law school--no judicial clerkship experience).

Congrats! That's impressive. I have both a D. Ct. and COA clerkship and didn't get selected for CRT.Anonymous User wrote:I just got the email: selected to interview with both components I listed (CRT and EOIR).

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2019-2020
I got selected for interviews with ATR in NY and DC. I’m honestly kinda shocked I got selected at all. I’m currently serving in a two-year fed. clerkship but it’s with a magistrate judge in a non-competitive district. Pretty average grades/ no LR. This is my dream job and I’m pumped but also nervous now about the interview and feeling pretty unqualified. Any advice from someone who’s been through the interview process, specifically with ATR if applicable? I want to prepare as best I can.

Did anyone hear from the participating USAO(s) or any of the informally participating USAOs?

Im in a similar boat. 10 years federal experience, IC background, top 1/3 in my class with LR, Moot, and trial team. No interviews.Anonymous User wrote:Congratulations. Also heard from an informal component - they showed up in the "selected by" column just like a formally-participating component would. I would be excited, but I have on very good authority that they hardly ever actually select anyone from the Honors Program so it's more a labor-intensive ritual in which you get to show your commitment for when you reapply in 2 years.Anonymous User wrote:Yes. Does anyone know what's the interview:offer ratio for reg crim and the two tax components? And is each tax component its own interview or do they combine them?

To those who weren't selected, don't let the specific preferences of selecting officials let you down. There are dozens of federal agencies who would love to have you. Be creative about seeking those opportunities down (e.g., Energy, EPA, IRS, Nuclear Regulatory, HUD, SEC, OCC, Treasury, etc.). And don't forget about Presidential Management Fellowship! All the best to you!

I’m assuming they mean they have that federal experience from before going to law school.

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2019-2020
Maybe too late in posting this, but are the preinterview materials for ENRD due 5 business days after selection (like every other component I’ve seen) or just five days? And why does it also have a second deadline of October 11?

Not sure if you already figured this out, but the tax interviews are separate, i.e. one for crim tax and another for civ tax.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know what's the interview:offer ratio for reg crim and the two tax components? Unless you’re a veteran, I find that a bit difficult to believe. Most divisions won’t finish interviews until November.Anonymous User wrote:I received multiple offers this week to include my top choices.Anonymous User wrote:Any updates with the SLIP interviews and offers?
That being said, some vets are getting offers without interviews.

Did anyone receive a personal email from anyone at the component they're interviewing with beforehand?

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2019-2020
Past applicant here - I did from some components and not from others. IME it mostly depends on if they need to tell you something specific before you show up.Anonymous User wrote:Did anyone receive a personal email from anyone at the component they're interviewing with beforehand?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
