Still waiting to hear from Brooklyn. It's been a while since I had my last interview. Like the other poster, I was informed that most applicants would hear back around February.Anonymous User wrote:Any movement from Brooklyn recently? Also waiting to hear back. Last interview was on Halloween, was told in January my application was still active and would likely be hearing back in FebruaryAnonymous User wrote:Still waiting to hear from Brooklyn. Got a rejection email from New York County today. Executive panel interview (3rd round) was in mid-November. Good luck to all of you still waiting to hear back from them! Hopefully you get better news than I.

Received an offer from Cook County a couple of weeks ago! Phone offer, nothing in the mail yet. Has anyone else heard back yet?

Has anyone heard from any DA's offices recently amidst the pandemic? I know Brooklyn people were supposed to hear back by April but ... obviously things have changed since mid March

Haven't heard back from Brooklyn or NY either. DANY is going to be slow with the hiring process during the quarantine.

Haven't heard from the offices yet. I wouldn't be surprised if they start reaching out to folks late May, June, or even July. I'll report back if anything happens. Hope you're all safe!thefuturewoods wrote:Has anyone heard from any DA's offices recently amidst the pandemic? Does anyone have any insight about whether offers could be rescinded at district attorney offices because of the pandemic? If so, any insight on how they would choose among their aceptees? Accepted an offer from an office in NY earlier this year.

If anything you have a better chance now. Many ADAs have dropped out of the NY offices partly because of the new discovery rules put into place in January of this year. The offices are in need of replacement ADAs to fill the void.

Has anyone heard anything from Queens? Had my final interview back in November. I do know that Queens is known to be slower than the other offices.

Has anyone heard about when the offices may be reopening or if there might be a hiring freeze?

I haven't seen any updates from any offices regarding virtually anything about hiring - it's scary

Re: District Attorney's Offices 2020
I posted earlier in this thread that I received an offer from Cook County. Just heard today that they are deferred our start dates from August 31, 2020 to December 7, 2020. Absolutely gutted by this news. Hope others have better luck!

Queens deferred our start date from Sept. 8 to Sept. 14. I've heard they're still hiring though? Friend of mine said he recently saw a posting online.

When did you hear back from Queens? I had my executive interview in November, but every time I call they say they are still in the process of hiring.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:21 amQueens deferred our start date from Sept. 8 to Sept. 14. I heard back in March, had my executive interview in November. Hang in there I know it's stressful! They're still hiring so that's a good sign.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 8:23 pmWhen did you hear back from Queens? Wait, what?? Is that verified in any way? I had an offer and was due to start in April but it got delayed.

Is there anyone here that has been accepted into Brooklyn 2020 fall class? I'd like to start a group to keep each other in the loop.
