Anyone get a tentative offer from HUD? I'm starting to feel that they've postponed everything
No tentative offer yet, but those who interviewed should probably hear something by next week.

Do you think we'll get an email if not selected? For a different gov position, I just got a "not selected" update on usajobs but no email. So far I've been checking usajobs daily (tbh mulitple times) but it's kinda a pain.

In the past, they would snail mail letters to applicants they didn't select. I'm not sure if they would mail people now because of Corona or whether they would email applicants. Sadly, they might just mail out notices like 2-3 months later when they can rather than email.

Just wanted to share with y'all that I received an email from HUD asking if I was still interested in the program and saying they hope to send out offers within the next 2 weeks!! So they are still moving forward with hiring. Good luck!

Thanks for the update. Do you think people who didn't get the email asking if still interested, are not getting an offer?

I assume so. I imagine that HUD will make offers to the group that got that email, and if any of them turn it down, HUD will make the second round of offers to those who didn't get the email. I don't know though if those second-round offers would just go to other people who interviewed with HQ because if the regional office where you interviewed didn't recommend you (from their top-5), I'm not sure if HQ will even be able to look at your application.

Yes, two weeks ago they sent an email stating that they were in the final selection process and asking again if I was still interested.

Congrats on DC, that's awesome!

Has anyone heard back from the regional offices? I haven't heard anything from the office I applied for, so I'm still holding some hope :|

Did anyone receive that email a few weeks ago that HUD was in its final section stage but has not heard back from HUD since then? I'm just curious if they made all their decisions on Friday.

Yeah, I got that email too and still have not heard back. I keep tossing around the idea of calling and asking for a statute update, but I am not sure I should.

Other than the person above, has anyone else who got the email asking if they were still interested got an offer or been able to get any kind of update on the process?

I have a feeling that HUD already made first- and second-round offers because it's so late at this point. It really can't be that they are this slow.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
