Anything from the FDIC yet? The FAQ on the website states "we can make offers any time from October 2019 through early January 2020 unless you are otherwise notified by letter." I have not yet received a rejection, an offer, or a letter stating otherwise.

not yet, sorry. However, I can confirm if you dont hear from DOL's Office of Solicitor this week, you were not selected. I contacted HR (and you can too) and they'll let you know. However, you may be selected as an alternate if someone rejects the offer.

I have heard from the FDIC and FCC. FDIC sent a rejection letter a few weeks ago (maybe as much as a month ago) by snail mail. FCC called to offer an interview around the same time. Declined the interview because I had accepted another program.

To the anon above, I would call! I know HUD had detailed contact info on the USAJOBS posting and also on the brochure for this year.

For what it is worth, I believe the "referred" status change really just means that they (HUD) received all your materials and have forwarded them on. See the language from the announcement:

"Candidates who meet all the qualification and other eligibility requirements will be referred to the selecting official for consideration and possible interview."

It is received for a few weeks then just changed to referred. Referred means you're actually referred for interview process
