Adding that from my USAjobs profile, I applied last year on 9/12 and was not referred until 10/5. FWIW.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 2:06 pmI thought so as well. So either my app was messed up somehow or they actually have not started interviews yet? FWIW, none of my friends who applied to CFPB have had a change in their status yet either.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 1:49 pmHuh, it seems odd that you would be referred last year and not this year. I thought that being referred was an automatic thing if you met the basic requirements.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 10:03 amLast year, my app was referred approximately 2 weeks or so before interviews started. Personally, I have written CFPB off now that interview requests have gone out and I am still in the "received" status. I look forward to being proven wrong.True_blue_hhs wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 8:30 pmI say only slightly because who knows what’s true. I wonder if that’s a soft rejection at this point.Asdfgqwerty wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 4:45 pm
I interviewed with the SEC. I also know of one person with a CFPB interview this week.
The fact that both of our applications are still stuck at received likely means that CFPB is moving slowly. (Or, we are both out of luck.)

My guess is they haven’t actually started interviews. Someone posted last week who seemed to be in the know saying as much.

When you interviewed with the SEC did they tell you which division you were interviewing with (assuming DC national office)?Asdfgqwerty wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 4:45 pmI interviewed with the SEC. I have not and, based on a variety of factors, I would expect to get an interview.graywarriorknight wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 11:41 amI'm assuming nobody has heard anything from the NRLB yet?

Nope! Still on “Application Received.” Same with CFPB and NOAA. My HUD application was “referred” today.

Interviewed two weeks ago with the FDIC. No timeline was given for the next steps after that interview.

I have an upcoming interview with the CFPB and FWIW, my status still says received, not referred.
Does anyone have any idea how many people they are interviewing for how many honors positions?

I think last year they interviewed 25 people for 4 or 5 spots. Can't confirm it's true though. I think they also had 250 applicants last year and 50 were referred to interview.

Re: 2022-2023 Honors Attorney Program (BigFed, Non-DOJ)
I’d rather not say what office since it would be very easy for someone there to figure out who I am. My interview is next week.
I have it on good authority that at least the office that I’m interviewing with has just started sending out interview invitations. I have no idea about the other offices although I have heard that they all try to move quickly once one office starts interviewing so that they can have first pick of the candidates.
All that’s to say, if you didn’t get an interview invite yet, don’t read too much into it!

Received a tentative offer from an agency that I will not name for anonymity. The office is in my LEAST desirable location.....like, 0 desire to accept the offer not desirable. How normal it is to move offices? Can I just move to a different office after a couple of years?

Re: 2022-2023 Honors Attorney Program (BigFed, Non-DOJ)
A specific office from the SEC reached out to me, so it seems like offices are doing their own interviewing and have their own process. And because I've seen discussion about the CFPB on here, my friend did have the CFPB interview this week, and that interview was also with a specific CFPB office. It really does seem like different offices have different timelines, though. It's not like the DOJ process where you find out and interview all around the same time.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 9:56 pmWhen you interviewed with the SEC did they tell you which division you were interviewing with (assuming DC national office)?Asdfgqwerty wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 4:45 pmI interviewed with the SEC. That's very interesting regarding the SEC. I was contacted for an interview this week but it was through a contractor who didn't know which of my ranked divisions was interviewing me.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 9:35 amA specific office from the SEC reached out to me, so it seems like offices are doing their own interviewing and have their own process. My contact from the SEC was also a contractor, but they said that X office was interested in interviewing me and had certain timeslots. They then sent me a list of the people interviewing me (plus titles) before the interview, which was really helpful.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 10:18 amThat's very interesting regarding the SEC. Adding to the CFPB discussion. I received a phone call today inviting me to interview with one of their offices.

The IRS non-tax honors applications seem to be moving forward now. I got the email saying I was referred based on all the self-selected data. Any word on the NLRB moving at all?

Re: 2022-2023 Honors Attorney Program (BigFed, Non-DOJ)
I received the same as well. I will also add that I applied to the "tax" IRS Honors, interviewed around October 14 and my references were contacted October 28 but there has been no further movement. I seem to recall last year that the National Office in DC made offers after the non tax component finished their interviews, which they did over a very short period of time.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 2:51 pmThe IRS non-tax honors applications seem to be moving forward now.
