my understanding is that regional interviews are for the regional offices, and HQ doesn't do additional interviews.Anonymous User wrote:Hey, for those who got "you remain under consideration" emails for DOL, did you hear from someone in D.C. or from a regional office?
Got a regional office follow-up interview recently and trying to read the tea leaves on what that means for my national chances.

Thanks, but not what I'm asking! Specifically wondering if people's initial e-mail telling them they were still under consideration came from someone in the D.C. office or a regional. (Basically, I'm trying to divine if getting the latter is a signal that you're primarily of interest to that office at this point.)Anonymous User wrote:(my understanding is that regional interviews are for the regional offices, and HQ doesn't do additional interviews.Anonymous User wrote:Hey, for those who got "you remain under consideration" emails for DOL, did you hear from someone in D.C. or from a regional office?

When I went through the process last year, it was from the regional office. Got dinged after New Years so can't tell you what happens after that email.Anonymous User wrote:Thanks, but not what I'm asking! I had an "active consideration" follow up, which was sent by someone in a regional office. As of now, no regional offices have reached out for an interview.Anonymous User wrote:When I went through the process last year, it was from the regional office. Second continued interest email from D.C. last week, said they were "nearing the end" of their process. Just accepted an honors offer elsewhere, so withdrew; good luck everyone.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have DOL updates?

Has there been any more movement at CFPB?

Same, although I accepted another offer in the mean time. I would have thought I'd receive some sort of response by now.Jordanz301 wrote:Anything from the FDIC? Interviewed in November and have heard nothing.

Dinged by CFPB today; guess they forgot about me in the rejections yesterday. Good luck/congrats to other applicants.

I interviewed with DOL office of the Solicitor in August. My status just updated to Referred on USAJOBS yesterday.NormaRae19 wrote:My DOL application status says, “referred” , does anyone have the same status?
However, I haven't been contacted through email or phone at all. Has anyone directly been contacted since initial interviews during the summer? They told me offers are usually extended in December.. but.. its January

Some emails went out in December and January saying they were near the end of the process and that you're still under consideration. I got mine in December and haven't hear anything since.

Has anyone interviewed for the NLRB board side honors program? If so, have you heard anything?

FYI, I contacted DOL's HR. They said they're nearing the end of selections and notifications will be sent out in the next 2 weeks

If you don't hear from DOL this week, you weren't selected

Anything from the FDIC yet? The FAQ on the website states "we can make offers any time from October 2019 through early January 2020 unless you are otherwise notified by letter." I have not yet received a rejection, an offer, or a letter stating otherwise.

not yet, sorry. However, I can confirm if you dont hear from DOL's Office of Solicitor this week, you were not selected. I contacted HR (and you can too) and they'll let you know. However, you may be selected as an alternate if someone rejects the offer.Jordanz301 wrote:Anything from the FDIC yet? Re: Honors Attorney Program 2019-2020 (non-DOJ)
Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm currently a 3L externing at a regional fed agency this semester. I'm enjoying the work but the attorneys there generally indicate it's difficult to become a full time attorney at the agency a few years out of law school. I've heard usually through honors or fellowships that you can end up with a full time position, but it's difficult otherwise.
After graduation, I am clerking in a state trial court in a different area of law. Does anyone have suggestions on what to look for during my clerkship? Should I apply for a fellowship or the honors program? Try to stay in state government? While I am working for the feds as a 3L extern, I got to a T3 and have median grades.

HUD just extended its deadline for its entry-level attorney hiring program to 2/13 (ignore the "Legal Honors Intern" misnomer)
