Best NYC Firms for M&A Litigation?
Looked on Chambers; which is helpful, but they combine securities lit and corporate/M&A lit into one ranking—not sure if strength in one usually means strength in the other, too. Coming off a clerkship, interested in BigLaw and market-paying boutiques.

Presuming you mean DE Chancery M&A - would look at WLRK, QE, PW, Skadden, KE as firms that seem to lead the space at the moment (just on major defense-side reps these days; no particular order here - as someone familiar with the space but not primarily focused on it, I don't know that WLRK is the head-and-shoulders leader that it was ~10 years ago, but it's certainly still at the top table). Defer to others on plaintiff-side.
Would not say that DE Chancery and securities defense practices really tie together, some firms with real strength in securities (DPW, S&C) don't have much of a DE bench while other leaders in that bar (PW) also are big in M&A litigation. My sense, again not in the space, is that there's not a ton of cross-pollination between the worlds - though you'd think from the proxy fight stuff.

OP. I did mean Chancery lit. Thanks so much for the insight, that’s really helpful. The only plaintiff side firm with an NYC office I ever see mentioned is BLBG but I don’t think they pay market.
