It’s Kirkland, Sidley, and Jenner at the top. Pick your poison of the three. Latham also has a terrific office but a much smaller footprint. Some other firms have decent offices, too, like Skadden, Winston, and Mayer Brown, all with their own reasons for being tier 2.

Bartlit Beck is the only premier national boutique in town. Goldman Ismail and Eimer Stahl also have strong practices.
