That's idiotic. It was clearly Greg Shu forever--the other options (Orr, Lovitt, etc.) were all too old, or didn't have experience in the right areas. No reason to think Greg won't do an excellent job.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 10:22 pmAnyone else surprised with the new managing partner? Really thought it was going to be someone younger or diverse.

Brogan's pronouns are they/them/theirs, so "they" certainly did.2013 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 11:01 pm“They” didn’t pick anyone. It was only Brogan.LittleRedCorvette wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 2:36 pmIs it too shocking to consider perhaps they picked the best eligible person? Or does it just HAVE to not be a white person for you to be happy?

Newsflash, pal. Greg is white and therefore cannot do an excellent job. Read the room.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 3:54 pmThat's idiotic. Think we’ll see any layoffs? Been slow for the past month, won’t hit hours (junior anssociate) and am stressing about it.

Could someone confirm whether the midwest offices (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, etc.) pay associates less than larger market offices (NY, DC, etc.), even if you have a T14 background and clearly have the credentials to go to a different firm in a larger market?

Have letters gone out yet? I’m a lateral and haven’t gotten it yet but I can’t tell if they just haven’t gone to anybody.

But you aren't in a larger market. So you're billed out lower.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 8:32 amCould someone confirm whether the midwest offices (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, etc.) pay associates less than larger market offices (NY, DC, etc.), even if you have a T14 background and clearly have the credentials to go to a different firm in a larger market?

Anyone know if they are planning to boost incoming NLGs to ~235k or 245k to adjust for the recent market raises? Incoming NLGs were signed at 225k last August.
