NYC LSAT Takers
Anyone here taking the test in NYC? I'll be taking it at Metropolitan Pavilion....praying for no construction to be going on during the LSAT. I'm optimistic because I'm hoping that they generally don't do any major construction on the weekdays when traffic is heavy.
Good luck to all the NYC'ers!

Let's hope that another crane doesn't come crashing down. No joke intended.ironsquid wrote:Anyone here taking the test in NYC? How was the Metropolitan Pavilion as a test center?

The Metropolitan Pavilion was great. It's a large brightly lit room (I think that it's normally used for art galleries) with windows in the front. It's on the 4th floor and each test taker gets to share a fairly large but fairly unsturdy looking table with someone else. There was no construction going on, so there were no noise distractions at all during the test.
It's always a crapshoot in Manhattan as to where they're doing construction though, so YMMV.

I was hoping to take it at Columbia but alas, all filled. Many of the other NYC locations were filled too by the time I signed up, so I'm going home to NJ to take it instead. I have a feeling my test center is going to suck though.

I took it at Wagner College on Staten Island. Despite my wariness of Staten Island, it was actually really nice; not very many people, and we were put in classrooms with large desks with at most 13-14 other people.

I took it in June at the Metropolitan Pavilion. I liked it there especially because it is across the street my apartment. I'll be at Pace in October...

I haven't heard anything good about Pace...Could just be bitter people with bad scores. Hopefully it's not as bad as I've heard and/or other test centers will open up.

I also took it there in June. I was sitting in the very front row, right next to the entrance, across from the procters.PrincessLexiRae wrote:I took it in June at the Metropolitan Pavilion. I liked it there especially because it is across the street my apartment. I'll be at Pace in October...

Pace has apparently been better recently. I do remember people being unhappy with it a while ago, but I had a number of students take it there in June, and there really weren't any major complaints.
That's the one for NYC, btw. Not as sure about White Plains.
