PLEASE HELP ADVISE ON STUDYING AND STUDY SCHEDULE

Post by Hannah14 » Sun Jul 21, 2019 12:06 pm

Hey everyone this probably one of the most repetitive questions you all might see on the forum, but honestly I have no clue what I am doing.
I use 7sage and I finished the Core Curriculum (CC) probably in February (a year before I had run through it once but never really PTd) before CC my cold diagnostic was 135 and I started to just practice some problem sets and RC passages and had to take a break for about a month due to finishing up my courses, I did take a practice test (I don't' remember the number) but I got 143. I do try my best to Blind Review (for those who do not know 7sage has it as a method) and when I take passages and pt's I do time myself. Anyways when I got back to studying early July, I took the February 1997 and got 138 (but I was sort of ill) and I took Prep Test 1/35 and scored about the same. My goal and what I need is between a 161-165. I hope to apply this round and was planning to take September (ah probably not happening anymore) and now I am aiming for November 2019 exam, because its the only exam besides September that is offered in a test center in the area that I live in.
I usually do really bad on LR (7/25 on each LR), and I find all the inference questions difficult
RC (9/28) which is surprising because when I was practicing RC passages I would get 4/6 or 3/7 (per passage)
LG is my strongest section (14/24 sometimes +4). fingers crossed that the experimental for November is LG
For the most part, the most part on the practice sets I did on CC I was getting maybe 2 or 3 wrong and sometimes its because I misread the passage and other times I usually narrow it down to 2 answers choices and end up choosing the wrong one. There are the odd practice sets where I will get none right but that is usually on the more difficult practice sets.
In terms of games on the practice sets, I usually get 1 or 2 wrong and usually, they are the MBT or CBT.
In terms of RC I just have to really focus and not get bored and I usually get 2 or 3 wrong, again unless the set is really challenging than I sometimes get the whole set wrong but usually, I don't. I do struggle when it's more difficult.
Please, Please I just need someone to help me organize a study schedule and advise me on how to study as I do find 7sage daunting but helpful! I am willing to put in the work, I just really want to apply this round and confidently do well in November
Thank you!

I hope so too!!
But honestly, We can start trying to figure a little something out now.
I have scoured TLS and found a study guide for 3 months which is what you will need. http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... =6&t=41657
I will be taking it in November too.

my suggestion would be to start with your weakest section, master it then move to the second weakest.
But I would work on perfecting the Logical Reasoning first because that is 50% of the LSAT score, then Logic Games is extremely learnable (or so what i've heard  lol).
The best way to truly improve reading comp is through reading academic journals and articles. Like the economist and the New Yorker. I'm trying to read more complex material and understand it on my days off.

ANother thing, are you working or going to school full time?

Also, if you want a study buddy. I'll suffer with you! I'm starting Logical reasoning right now.

Lol for some odd reason I can't send a private message but thank you so much for the message! So currently I just graduated from university and I am looking for a job. Haha basically unemployed and full time studying. How about you?

I am starting with LR it's my weakest section. Are you using 7sage? or are you using certain books?

Lol i think you have to post a certain amount honestly lol, no worries tho.
Im starting a study group if you'd like to join?

Honestly, I've heard great things about 7sage especially for Logic games I just signed up for their free curriculum. I also was gifted with a handful of books. Powerscore bibles, blueprint and the superprep. I do not have the work books tho. I am thinking about getting those. I just acquired a tutor because im dumb lmao

I am working full time and going to school full time. so busy busy.
can you see PM's at least? cause if so i can send you my email and we can start sending each other stuff. Let me know

A couple thoughts. First, get a tutor and just practice those logical reasoning questions. A lot. Like 2-3 hours per day. Be careful with your thinking and make a concerted effort to understand WHY a question was right or wrong.

Same thing for the logic games.

For reading comprehension...it’s hard to teach.

Second, why do you want to be a lawyer?

Hey, since I'm new to the site, it wont let me respond to the message you sent me. My price is completely negotiable as I don't want to exclude anyone from help, however there is a bar. If you are interested in me helping you, I can give you my email and we can chat that way.
