Cancelling LSAT registration Forum

Hey everyone,

I'm registered for the September 16 LSAT in about two weeks, but I think I should wait until December to take it instead. I'm aiming for a 173, and my practice test scores at this point are still 165-170. I'm strongly considering taking a Kaplan course to really boost my December score.

Also, I took the LSAT once last September 2016 and got 158 (definitely wasn't as prepared as I should have been). I've heard it's not a great idea to take the LSAT 3 times if I want to get into a T14 school. So I'm leaning away from taking it both in September 2017 and December 2017.

Is this a good idea? Is it smart for me to take my LSAT later and send in my applications late December/early January with higher score, than to apply early or mid fall with a score around 165 (presumably)?

Are there any negatives to cancelling my registration (other than money)? Will law schools know that I cancelled or care?

Would it be a bad idea to take the LSAT on both upcoming September and December test dates (making it 3 times I've taken it overall)?
