I'm sorry, I don't think I understand what you're asking. Are you wondering if you should take the September test and have it scored, take it and cancel the score, or not take it at all?

Sorry everyone. My internet lagged and my post sent a bunch of times at once. I have no way of deleting them. If there are mods on here, feel free to delete the repeated posts.

Sorry, yes! That is what I'm asking
If I'm understanding your original post correctly, you've paid a decent amount of non-refundable money and scheduled international travel around this test, right?

If that's the case then take it, unless...

you can get every dime other than the cost of your LSAT ticket back, then MAYBE postpone if you're gunning for Yale (but seriously, if you're OK with any T14 don't do this).

But whatever you do don't go through with traveling, paying for a place to stay, taking the exam, and then cancelling it. I see no benefit to that.

Overall I highly recommend taking it.

For the snack I'm bringing some homemade tacos to make during the break. I'm gonna have little bags with lettuce, tomatoe, whipped cream, taco meat, etc. I will also have some sides such as coleslaw, potatoe salad and macaroni salad. Some chips as well. Oh, and probably a big bottle of coke. You are more than welcome to join me.

E: might also bring a dozen donuts which I can probably make fit in my gallon bag

Lololllll whipped cream on tacos? Nice 8)

That would be great if we could have a picnic mid test
Who says we can't. Fuck their " no leaving the building" rule. The quad will be waiting for us. I'll bring things to sit on. It'll be fantastic. I'm sure all of this crap can fit in my gallon bag.

I've never sat/laid on the quad actually lmao.

P.S.: bring forks and napkins pls

It'll probably be my usual clif bar, yogurt, and hot tea for breakfast and some almonds/cranberries/raisins for the break.

You had me until the whipped cream.

In other news I'm doing nothing but RC prep this week. -7 and -5 on PTs 74/75 after going -2/-3 consistently for weeks.

I can tell you what I'm NOT bringing for my snack: orange flavored almonds. I brought those for June and they were nasty. 0/10 do not recommend.

I think I'm going to force myself to have toast and a protein shake for breakfast. I generally don't like eating early but I probably should. Probably a protein bar for my snack.

I'm going to do my usual PT routine: 3 eggs and two slices of sausage for breakfast with w/ half a banana for a snack. What are you leaning towards?

aggressively marking up sections + writing the summary of each paragraph in a few words in the margins has helped. also, once i began tests with comp reading, my scores improved. something about those sections is easier to me. i spend a significant amount of time on my first read and make sure that i understand each paragraph before moving on. but i did start near -3/-4 so im not sure how helpful my advice is.

Funny how these things work. I usually go -1 or -2 on RC with the occasional -3 and I literally mark nothing. I just critically read for understanding and then jump into questions. Whatever works 8)

If LG (specifically the recent ones) is still giving me fits this late in the game, do you guys think it would be prudent to just scrap any LR/RC work and go all out on LG? I'm at a bit of a loss, as my drilling doesn't seem to be generating results. Open to any and all suggestions.

Having just done PT 79 and 80, I'm holding steady around -10 in LR+RC, but got a -7 and -5 in those two LG sections. I had been in the -0 to -3 range in LG, but the fact that these outliers are on the recent exams is very concerning...

My prep has consisted of drilling by type from the pre-40s and section drilling from the 40s/50s. I've been mostly acing those sections, typically with time to spare. But on 79/80, I was slower than usual in games 1-3, then flipped the page to see the Virus/Building games in their full glory had been conveniently placed as game 4 with a only a couple minutes to spare each - knew at that point that it was game over.

PT 68 174

RC -5
EXP RC -1 (PT 57)
LR -1
LR -0
LG -2

LR has been quite consistent..LG still struggles a little bit. I started with a rather consistent -0/-1 so never really put in the effort on LG, yet it hurts me every now and then. Planning to work on securing a -0 for the next 10 days. I don't really know what to do with RC. It fluctuates a lot (-1 ~ -6) and i still struggle hard with time ╮(╯_╰)╭

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
