To be honest, I still think it's worth throwing an app at YS if you have 177+ and 3.7+. I wouldn't bother under that (bar amazing softs), but it seems like it's worth a shot if you have good WE and all that jazz. Obviously it's unlikely, but who knows?
You'd be an idiot not to (unless you just don't wanna go to Yehl).
I shall do 177+ data shortly brb.
Eta: 5/20 for 177+, 3.8+. 4/13 for 177+, 3.9+.
I also think I saw a couple of 177+, 3.7+ get in. Definitely not as many, but still enough to throw in the app. Damnit, the goal posts have moved. Aiming for 177+ instead of 175+ now.

Yeah, the 3.8 and 3.9 was arbitrary and more to highlight the amount of people with strong numbers who are not-accepted. Point is not that you shouldn't throw in an app (you definitely should), but that the odds of Y are low regardless of numbers - Lower than I realized, not even 50%.
this becomes even more stark when you look at the numbers of the people in the Y thread still waiting, holy crap...
I could understand 176+ having a slight plus because 176 is Y's sometimes (historical?) 75th percentile. Shoot for 180, but I wouldn't tell anyone with a 175 to retake.

eta: I googled your use of it. I don't see the benefit of 'eta' over 'edit'
emeta: I'm enjoying this now.
ememeta:Woah boy are we cooking now.
Edit: 4 letters, must use both hands on standard keyboard. Eta: 3 letters all one hand.
I figured it was a long enough time between original post and edit that eta was warranted.
I had actually not seen it before, and I assumed it meant 'estimated time of arrival'
That's a fair enough point except I would propose that benefit would then be limited to messages in which you do not require "UIOPJKLNM" or those fun brackets and such.
Except I'm kind of weird and I use different fingers and hands for just about every key depending on the word I am typing. I fully intend to get an extremely loud keyboard so that I intimidate the other law school kids with the sheer speed of my typing.
DID SOMEONE LET A WOODPECKER IN THE LIBRARY? NAH DUDE THAT'S JUST 34IPLAW ON HIS MECHANICAL KEYBOARD TYPING SUPER LOUD. HE'S REALLY ANNOYING LIKE THAT.
my mechanical keyboard fits this criteria. not only is it super annoying to anyone around, but the way they "click" back into place is so satisfying. do eeeeet

Also, you and your 15 page paper made me feel better about the 2 page paper I have to write in a day, until you said it wasn't marked.

You should all apply during my cycle, because you'll be blessed with an abundance of fun, neurotic data points and shitty pseudo-statistical analyses.

They're definitely low, at the end of the day their acceptance rate is scary to see, but I do think there are some thresholds where you see a bump in getting admitted.
I wouldn't retake a 175 unless I was consistently PTing 179-180 and had made a dumb mistake in games or something. Even then, I probably wouldn't bother.
Also, the paper IS marked, but my school just counts study abroad grades as pass/fail. Still taking me forever. I had 1.5 spacing. Just let me write 2.0 plz.

And if you have high numbers you're almost certainty going to have dope as fuck outcomes no matter what, and will achieve all your dreams, etc.

Yeah, I'm just trying to emotionally prepare myself here. Odds are lower than I realized.
And if you have high numbers you're almost certainly gonna have some dope as fuck outcomes no matter what, and will achieve all your dreams, etc.

Oh definitely. I'm just trying to motivate myself for my next 2 years of uni.
You're right. At the end of the day, Yale is the dream, but getting $$$$ elsewhere is too. My worst nightmare is getting Yale and $$$$$$$$.

Not commenting about whether or not this is actually the case, but I do think it's ridiculous if 175 vs. 177 makes a difference. This is often a difference of literally one raw point. You and the LSAT writers differing over what kind of furniture Eileen is most likely to design should not be worth that much of your future.
Or fucking traffic signs. Fuck traffic signs.
ok that's all folks I am writing this paper.

I agree, but like you said, it is the difference between >75 and <75 for Yehl.

This year it's not, but in past years that was the case. Not arguing whether or not they do - That will require as-yet unperformed analyses.
Regardless, it's silly. Honestly, it's the lesser of evils, but the LSAT is ridiculous.
You kids don't need to know about that yet. You ought not think those thoughts. [insert DJ's clip]
Anyhoo that's all folks.

Maybe a bit of a freakish opinion but, is it a little weird that Harvard costs about the same as Berk? I love my undergrad but there is a clear gap in rank that isn't reflected by prices.

At least our undergrad offers merit-based (although seemingly they run out quickly). I get that Harvard has lay prestige up the wazoo, but it irks me how expensive it is with its enormous class size.

Part of me wonders if TLS's "take the money" mentality is having effect at all on things. I hope so, but I kind of doubt it.

Aren't there a shit ton of TTTs that cost roughly the same as well? That's where the issue is, imo. Berk isn't that poor of a school and their employment numbers aren't that much different from H's, but when you have #137 or whatever costing the same as H you have a problem.
They are and it is asinine imo. Honestly it sparked when I was looking at UPenn merit aid (lmao for me) and I was thinking of the price discrepancy. If you have a Lamborghini for 200g it makes sense but a Mercedes e class, while nice shouldn't be worth that much and the Toyota corolla def shouldn't be. Maybe I'm salty for the debt I'm going to accrue

accrue.
This is true and so do the rest of the T14s but a pricing hierarchy makes a bit of sense. As I mentioned I am currently a salt powered robot.
