Thank you for understand my caffeine induced spelling which is horrible. Apparently December takers were asked if they'd be cool with taking the LSAT on a tablet; I really hope it was an overwhelming, "no."
They also asked if you would be okay increasing the number of questions per section by three and removing the 15 minute break. I of course was resoundingly in favor of this
Seriously though, I'd like to think that if LSAC changed the entire format of the test from paper to electronic, they'd have the sense and basic decency to forewarn test takers and give them a full run through of the changes. That change would be slightly more jarring than simply splitting one of the RC passages into two parts.

Don't you put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby.
Srs, I am debating going to a local CC in the sticks to take it just so I won't be one of the guinea pigs who gets the non-underlining for RC/LR satan tablet.

Aiming for 170+ this June and praying that I have enough time to study and get my initial scores up. What has everyone else's diagnostic score been?
Also, damn, LG are intense, I'm going to have to do a ton of drills to get used to the time constraints!
157 is a good PT, think about it the average score is a 155(?) and it sounds weird but it is good that you did bad on games they are the easiest to improve on. keep at it!
That's good to hear - hopefully I can improve on the other sections too!
I think -6 and -7 are great starting point for LR. And if it makes you feel any better, June 2007 has a harsh curve AND your -6 RC is what some people spend tons of time to get to. You're not in such a bad spot!
Thank you for saying that! I'd been really stressing out about it.

that dude just hopped on gear and didn't do legs; because his calves are still bigger than mine. Shout out to height, thanks for no gains.

So what is everyone's target score, figure we're far enough out to have a calm discussion on this.

Leg day is actually my favorite day.
I'm honestly just aiming for a 168 since it's in between UT and UVA's median

Admirable, you must not be a splitter like myself lol; which is why I'm shooting for 175+ . The more I look at UVA the more attractive of an option it becomes to me, especially since someone with stats worse than mine got close to dillard (might be false, they did have a compelling cycle sheet).

I'm hoping for a 170. I just want a score good enough for a nice scholarship at Michigan.
If they switch to tablets though I'm fucked. There's no way they wouldn't announce something that drastic though.. I hope.

A 168 should get me in where I'd like. But I don't want to take any chances so I'm setting my goal for a 170 and I'd like to get as close to a 180 as possible.

I'm URM splitter I guess. I would target 170+ but I do not think it is possible. I don't think I am smart enough based on my drilling

146 diagnostic from 1/14/17 PT (did 5 sections).
Somewhat bummed, but think a 20 point raise by June is doable.
Onwards.

I had a 140 something diagnostic (low 140's, but don't remember exact number). Got a 166 on a PT the other day, so it's doable.

Am I perhaps in the minority when I say that a diagnostic has little predictability in determining your actual test day score after 3+ months of consistent studying?

I think diagnostics are bullshit for most people, and a waste of a fresh PT at that. But I do think it has its benefits for some, but probably only for those who get a ridiculously good diagnostic score and they see what they need to improve on.

generally, diagnostics are shit.
unless, youre a philosophy major and/or have been doing logic stuff for years and need to know where to improve on a test.

Do you Carb cycle when you cut? I don't necessarily carb cycle but on leg day I will eat more carbs earlier in the day to help with that.
kinda, I try to keep everything consistent and eat from 100-125 carbs a day; I know that is kind of a lot for a cut but I won't have any goddamn energy under that. I eat probably half of that before a morning lifting session (oatmeal and a low carb protein bar) so I have energy but I'm pretty drained during my nightly cardio and ab sessions.
Yeah in the past I have gone lower carbs, but right now with studying so much etc I need to eneergy so ive upped my carbs and figured it will just take slightly longer to cut.
I hold a LOT of water so that makes some cuts come back to my shoulders but the core is just fucked right now. My goal is to have at least 4 visible abs by late Feb.
On the topic, I like cutting now just because I don't have to worry about what to eat so my schedule is wake up, eat, workout, work job, eat 2x at job, come home, eat, study, eat, cardio, study. it is pretty monotonous but it works for the LSAT imo.
Yeah the structure of cutting really helps/motivates me to stay on my studies. It almost goes hand in hand for me..for whatever reason.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
