Odds for a misc game in the Dec test?
Hi guys,
Just want to hear your opinions on whether you think there will be a misc game in the upcoming test like pt 79. I've checked and haven't spotted misc games in consecutive tests in the past.
Thanks!

There's a chance. You can't ever predict what the Lsac will do so just practice odd games before the exam so if one pops up, you won't be completely thrown off.

Whatever type of game you didn't study for will be on your lsat. Thats how it works.

77 and 79 both had one. Be prepared.

That's the point, it hasn't happened consecutively before.Alexandros wrote:77 and 79 both had one. Be prepared.

Still be prepared. No one thought we'd have one in September because there was already one in December and they're so rare. It's not worth screwing up an entire game on test-day because you're banking on there being no weird ones. The fact that there's never been two consecutive misc games doesn't mean it won't happen.180orDie wrote:That's the point, it hasn't happened consecutively before.Alexandros wrote:77 and 79 both had one. These are so true! From my experience, the best way to prepare for the misc games is to get really fast at the sequencing/grouping games so that you have at least 10 minutes for that last misc game, should you encounter one. You have no idea what kind of curveball they'll throw at you.Alexandros wrote:Still be prepared. Firmly convinced they are here to stay. Here's to hoping that half the A/Cs aren't C's.

I am not worried. Just ball out on the other games and you will have plenty time to brute force the odd games if necessary. I have not taken 77 and 79 yet, I will be doing those later this week and early next. Although, in my experience PT's with odd games tend to have easier games for the other 3.

Impossible to predict- as you've said they've never done back to back misc. games before, but there's a first time for everything. Just be prepared and don't let it throw you off- the shock and panic is the biggest danger.

be prepared dude. I took both that December and this September and got screwed over both times even though I thought I was ready. Be ready to destroy the rest of LG.

I agree with a couple of the other comments. I think those funky games are going to be seen more frequently now.

I had actually made a point of just practicing weird games for humor the last week of the test. Don't let their difficulty mess with your head, but it really helped me keep calm on the September test. Wouldn't be surprised if a similar one came up again honestly

I encountered one while yesterday while doing PT 77. Found it to be actually pretty benign in terms of difficulty.
Can these outlier games be classified at all? Are they each unique or is are there significant features that some of them share?

Not a weird game, but, IMO, PT 64 game three is pretty challenging. A good one to review IMO.
