September 2016 MONDAY Takers Waiters Thread

Post by Mjvance2 » Mon Sep 26, 2016 5:41 pm

After going through the regular waiters thread I determined that those that took the test on Monday Sept. 26 had a different test than the regular Saturday takers. So this thread is a way for us to discuss and share our reactions to our LSAT experience.

As usual no test question specifics can be mentioned and follow all the other rules per LSAC guidelines.

And for all the lurkers from Saturday, yes, that's right...no computer viruses and no lacquer.

How did it go for you guys? I have a buddy who took it today, but haven't spoken to him yet.

I guess I'll start off with my section breakdown.

I had RC-LR-RC-LR-LG.

I can't fully remember my RC sections but I do know that one of the passages was about trademark law. I'm drawing blanks right now, but hopefully if more people join the thread we can figure this thing out!

It wasn't that bad. I was operating on a lack of sleep so two RC sections before the break killed me, but overall I didn't think the test was that bad. Nothing that quite stands out like computer viruses or lacquer.

Did you take it Saturday?

I'm jealous. I keep having nightmares that Eileen Green put a virus on my network

Took it today, also had 2 RC's. The first one with trademarks was much easier, but unfortunately it was experimental. Other RC with forests/judges is the one that counted, thought that was a really difficult section. Ton of detail/analogy questions that ate up way too much time. First LR wasn't bad, second LR was pretty tough. And did you realize that there wasn't one main conclusion question in LR? Really weird. Spoke to other ppl who took the test and they also found it hard, thinking -12 curve since it was 101 questions. Definitely much harder than the June test which had a -11 curve.

Don't be jealous, RC was insane. Like 70s RC on steroids.

I had LR for my experimental so Games and RC were real, heres what I had that i remember if it helps:
East-west 1 oclock 2 oclock 3 oclock Game
Specials at the restarant game
QRS interviewing GHIF on day 1 2 3 or 4 game

rain forrest regulation passage
judicial honesty comparitive reading passage

for the LR sections- i had two with 25 questions and one with 26. the 26 question one ive since found out is real, but of the two 25 questions ones, I found one to be very easy and one to be kind of hard, was wonder if anyone had any insight as to which LR sections were real?

The 25 q LR section with the question on meetings was the real one. How did you find RC? Thought it was really hard.

And what are you guessing for the curve, felt like one of the 70s tests: hard RC and LR, thinking -12 since it was 101 questions.

was that the one with the question about the babies and the puppet show? thought the RC was pretty hard was second guessing myself on a lot, especially the comparative reading

LG section though i thought was pretty easy, no process games or anything too unusual, think the monday curve might be a bit worse than the saturday one since they seemed to all have a very hard time with one of the games.

Same time as Saturday takers, October 20th is the deadline to receive scores.

Test was pretty tough, plus it was 101 questions. So my guess is -19,20 for a 165, -12 for a 170.

So is this considered a favorable scale?
