Recognizing Questions
Quick question here, but while I am PT'ing is it bad if I recognize whether I have done a question before or not? Unfortunately the Kaplan class that I took to prep for the June 2016 test used questions from tests 50-65 so when I PT one of those tests some of the questions arent completely fresh to me now as I am prepping for September. For example, I will see a stimulus that I will recognize and remember reading before, but I wont recognize which answer is the correct one. Will this effect the scores that I get on these PT's, and does anyone have any advice on how to get around this?

Re: Recognizing Questions
There will be some stimuli with similar words:
-Art
-Animals
-Smoking
-Government
-Power plants
-Airline flights
-Oil consumption
-Science research
-Medical treatment
-Political campaigns
-Advanced technology
-Environmental concerns
As long as you don't remember the answer choices, you should be fine.
Even if you do, don't just circle the right answer; still break each one down.

If you can't remember which answer is the correct one, then it's no harm done, in my opinion. You may recognize the content of the question, but you still have to break it down and try to answer it as you normally would. So no, in your case, I don't think your PT scores should be affected very much.
I know a lot of people are big on preserving tests on TLS, and while I understand why, I personally will forget a question after a week or two. It may seem familiar, like "oh I've seen this one before," but I'm almost never able to remember the answer choices or how exactly to solve it.
