Hi everyone! Newbie here looking to begin studying for the LSAT. Has anyone heard about the free online class "casebriefs.com" ? Is it somewhat of a decent online class to take?

Oh yeah. I originally started in July for the December test, but then a bunch of stuff happened at work and I had to focus on that/looking for another job. Now things have died down so I'm getting back into things. Using the Trainer, 7Sage, and a buttload of PTs

Awesome. Maybe we can coordinate PT's as we go along. I basically want to do every PT 40 and beyond, using 1-39 to drill. I made a rough schedule and can fit them all in if I stick to it.
My first priority will probably be getting good at LG again. I'm sure I'm super rusty.

What else are you using besides PTs to study?

Yeah I've gone through most PT's but it was so long ago I don't remember anything so they'll be essentially fresh.

I'll probably re-read Manhattan LR and RC because I remember those being the most helpful for me.
I use 7Sage free game explanations for LG.
That's pretty much it. Getting refreshed on the concepts then just drilling and PT'ing for the next 3+ months.

I ended up taking it easy the two weeks. I was in finals mixed with a quick tour.

Also, during that brain break (well, from LSAT at least), I got thinking about 7sage more. I figured now is the time. I used banked per diem from the tour to cover the bulk of a 7sage course. I purchased the Ultimate course tonight after knocking out most of the free trial. If the trial is any indicator of what the actual course will be, this will be great.

I have two main motivations for going straight to the ultimate package. First, the medium problem sets...if I upgrade to the Ultimate+, it will be for the hard problem sets. Second, for the year of access. I'm still planning on taking the Feb 2017 LSAT, but am also factoring in a potential September/October 2017 attempt as well.

The supplementation to 7sage will depend on how I'm doing on prep tests. I have the Manhattan RC and LR books as well as Blueprint for LG. I'm around half way through each of those.

Yeah, I love 7Sage and think it is by far the best LSAT course. That coupled with the Manhattan Prep books have done me well!

I went through the Trainer once already. I'm probably going to go through it again before it is all over. I remember liking it a lot for how it breaks down question types.

Yeah, it is why I'm most likely going to take in June. I only want to take the test once and if I'm not Pt'ing in the mid-high 170s by Feb then I'll just postpone again.

I don't think I'm at the point of massive anxiety, but it is a bit intimidating. I feel your pain on working full time. I'm a military musician, so my schedule varies dramatically week to week, sometimes day to day. It is when I let the thought of work demands, school demands (6 credit hours at a time, 8-week sessions), and my desire/need for a strong LSAT that I get a bit anxious. The thing that helps with that anxiety is having a schedule, and knowing when I am nearing burn out. I just came back from about two weeks away from hitting the material hard. The break gave me time to focus on finals, the twice a year BCA (body fat composition assessment...and I'm a large guy), and some fires (not in the literal sense) at work.

Over that break, I also took a hard look at how I was managing my time compared to the goals I want to accomplish. I know that if I don't plan, I'm doomed in all regards. I'm writing this post after completing about 45mins of LSAT study prior to going to work. I'll be getting about an hour of study in over lunch (2hr lunch break). Once I get off work, I'll get another hour in and then workout, after the workout, I'll be getting at least another hour in. So, on a fairly typical non-gig day, I will end up with 3.5-4.5hrs of study time in with no block lasting longer than an hour.

I'm keeping my options open, though. I know that there is a snowball's chance in hell that I would get a few days off in June approved to take the June test (assuming two days off prior to test date and the test date itself). So, if my request to take the February test falls through, or if I don't write a test in the range that I want, I'll be aiming for the Dec 2017 test. The late September/October test would be a crap shoot for me since this year I was on the road during that time frame. I'm not shooting for admission until the 2019-2020 school year, so I figure, that gives me the 2017 (Feb/Dec) and 2018 (Feb) tests to get the score that I want.
