Do I have enough time to be prepared for the September test?

Post by olikatz » Sat Jul 30, 2016 4:54 pm

So I still haven't finished the PS bibles. I have RC left to go. My plan was to transfer over all the notes I took in the book onto a word doc in order to have clear notes to refer back to, but I am afraid I am running out of time. Is doing this necessary. Also I haven't even began drilling yet. My original plan was to spend 45 days finishing prep books and the final 2 months drilling/PTing, but my job has prevented me finishing the books. I have a little over 50 days to do all of this. Is this really enough time? Do I really have enough time to be able to do all of this by the September test?

Unless if your circumstances call for it, I wouldn't rush for the September LSAT when you can just switch to the December LSAT and give yourself enough time. Again, if taking it in September would be in the best interest of your individual circumstance, disregard this post. However, if you are just trying to decide whether to sit in Sept or Dec, Dec may be your best bet

Don't take it. Wait until you are 100% ready and confident you have mastered this test. Better LSAT > Early application. Every time.

I second that.

You haven't started drilling yet, and I guess you haven't done any pt as well.

So during these 45 days do the drilling and pt and see how much you are improving, if not by much, I say wait until you are ready and take it on December.

I don't bother with writing notes from the book, I have a note book where I do some of the solved questions and drill exercise on it, but I won't use the notebook to study, I'll go back to the book if I needed to remember something important.

Depends on the score you're aiming for, and how quickly you pick up. You might realize you don't need to do as much prep as you thought.
