ADD Testing Accommodations (Recent)
Has anyone had any recent experience requesting testing accommodations on the LSAT? I was (relatively recently, as in post-taking the SATs) diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, and I was doing some research to see if I should bother submitting a request for accommodations on the test. All of the material I have found online pre-dates the recent lawsuit and the changed policies of the LSAC, so I am having a difficult time determining if it would be worth gathering all of the necessary materials and submitting them (as in, would I have a reasonable chance of receiving accommodations.) The main difficulty I'm encountering is that since my diagnosis is recent, I have no history of previous accommodations, in addition to the fact that all of the information on the subject is outdated. Thanks!

Call LSAC, they have specific ADA accomodation people. You will need to fill out a candidate form and official paperwork diagnosing you and suggesting whatever accomodations that you are looking to receive. It needs to be done early, so put it in motion now.rosieposie12 wrote:Has anyone had any recent experience requesting testing accommodations on the LSAT? I was looking to get extended time, and a separate testing room. I have all of the necessary forms, I am honestly more curious about if people have been successful as of late. All I have been reading are horror stories of rejection despite copious documentation; but like I said, these accounts are all prior to the changes that have been made, so I am trying to get an idea of the impact that the changes have had on the process (if any).

Yes, with absolutely no problems. However, it was with previously-approved SAT accommodations. It has REALLY changed in the past year... it's much easier nowrosieposie12 wrote:I was looking to get extended time, and a separate testing room.
