Where do you study?
In your room? Library? Bookstore? Jail cell?

Re: Where do you study?
I sometimes go out to cafes to get some fresh air, but at home in my living room, mostly.

Library for quiet, coffee shops to deal with noise. Also, coffee shops for coffee.

At home mostly. If I'm at school then in the library.

Re: Where do you study?
At my desk in my room. I really need complete quiet to concentrate when studying. I am going to eventually practice test in my university library once I am at that point to acclimate myself to the noise, but since I am still learning, I am just focusing on quiet at home studying for now.

Re: Where do you study?
I studied in my bed, in the kitchen or in the library, mostly depending on what time of day it was. I also took a PT in Starbucks once.

Everyone, how many hours do you study per day?

Re: Where do you study?
I usually gun for eight. Six if I'm procrastinating a lot. And ten if I wake up extra early.

How many breaks, if any, do you take?Deardevil wrote:I usually gun for eight. Six if I'm procrastinating a lot. And ten if I wake up extra early.

Re: Where do you study?
If it's a day that I'm home all day then I'll study usually 10 to 7-9. Obviously not straight through, but with breaks here and there.

Re: Where do you study?
Well, I'm only just drilling at this point, so I take occasional small breaks in between a couple of questions;
I come on here, check my phone, wash my face, etc. Though lunch is really the only thing I can consider a time-out.
I'm actually "on break" right now, as I like some peace and relaxation during the night.
Once I start on PrepTests, I may either go six sections or consecutive four sections,
giving myself either no break to strengthen endurance or the minimal (~15 minutes);
if you wish to emulate this, just be cautious and avoid fatigue/burnout.
I'll be hitting the hay soon, which means grind-time all over again in the morning.

You don't think you'll burn out on that schedule? That's pretty insane even only a few days a week..ten if I wake up extra early.

Re: Where do you study?
Right now I'm studying in my hotel room while I'm abroad. When I get home I'll be splitting between home, work (I'll be working for my dad so it's chill if I take a conference room or a spare desk), and the library. When I get to school, it'll be almost exclusively library.

Yes, that's definitely something to be wary of, but I think I can manage. No signs of fatigue here, so I'm good to go.maybeman wrote:You don't think you'll burn out on that schedule? That's pretty insane even only a few days a week..
If anything, summer finally came around, and it just got hot as hell over here, so I lost a bit of motivation to even move around lol.

Holy crap, when did you start studying?Deardevil wrote:I usually gun for eight. Six if I'm procrastinating a lot. And ten if I wake up extra early.
I do two hours a day tops. Anymore, and I feel like I'm not learning. With that said, I've been doing that on a consistent basis for over a year now, and have already taken over 50 practice tests.
OP, if you started studying recently I'd gun for 4-6 hours a day.

A month ago, though I was on vacation at the same time. Really putting in work these past few weeks.RamTitan wrote: Holy crap, when did you start studying?

In school, I'd probably be unable to commit to such a heavy workload, but with the entire summer to myself,
I'm hoping more time and effort result in a good grade. Afterwards, I'll try to reconstruct my social life haha.
I certainly don't recommend 10 hours, and if your own schedule is fine, stick with it,
but if you're like me and not afraid to try something new for a day or two, that's up to you, too.
Not exactly daring anyone to down a jar of spiders lol.

Re: Where do you study?
Between Feb. and May, I worked with the Powerscore LG and LR Bibles. Then I started doing some PTs under simulated conditions and the scores have been generally declining ever since. I'm puzzled, but I suppose I need to drill LG types, since that's my weakest point.RamTitan wrote:Holy crap, when did you start studying?Deardevil wrote:I usually gun for eight. Re: Where do you study?
May be a sign of burnout to be honest. Some people burn out more easily than others (I was definitely one of them). Might be good to take a week off while you can, as once it gets to August I know you won't want to lol.WeightliftingThinker wrote:Between Feb. and May, I worked with the Powerscore LG and LR Bibles. Lol I don't feel burned out. I think I need to drill LG. I am only able to answer about 8 questions on LG under simulated conditions, which is no good.RamTitan wrote:May be a sign of burnout to be honest. Re: Where do you study?
For the Feb LSAT, i prepped like crazy - pulling some of those 6-10 hr days. My score on PT's went up 10 scaled points, and I was feeling decent up until about a week before the actual LSAT. I burned out and got the same score on my LSAT as I got on my very first diagnostic PT.
For June, I prepped very lightly, taking a good month or two off to recover from the Feb LSAT. I wanted to make sure that I didn't burn out, and scored 5 scaled point higher on the June LSAT than on the Feb LSAT.
Be very careful about studying too much. Relax, be confident, and do your best. more than 2 hrs in one session is too much, you'll lose focus (except if doing a PT).

Is drilling and reviewing a question type for at least three hours too much?bmathers wrote:For the Feb LSAT, i prepped like crazy - pulling some of those 6-10 hr days.
