Once I ordered a BLT and forgot to check the lettuce and tomato boxes so I just got a bacon sandwich. You'd think BLT implied that I wanted lettuce and tomato on there as well, but apparently not.Dodocogon wrote:So I went to McAlister's Deli for lunch(Deli chain, not sure if nationwide or midwest) bc I found a coupon for a free meal there - I'm a picky/plain eater, and their "Ham Melt" has things like bacon, lettuce, tomato, sauces etc. on it. Anyway I just want ham, cheese, and bacon. So of course, I order a ham melt with just bacon on it. I guess the employees don't see my order of a "ham melt" as constituting a request of either ham nor cheese on the sandwich. So for lunch I had a bacon sandwich... It was a bad feeling opening my to-go box and seeing just a mound of bacon between two pieces of bread - something did smell off in my car though.
Maybe that bad surprise is preparing for a good one when we get our scores later today!

I had a couple pump up songs to set my pace during backstroke races. Idk about you but for me it def wouldn't be hard to have a sneaky flask at my desk. I'd just keep a coffee with me at all times to mask the whiskey breath, but other than that all up sides with zero downsidespretzeltime wrote:doing my best not to drink on the job, lelpatttt wrote:Step your game up bb, some of us started alreadypretzeltime wrote:well either way, I need it to be 5:30 so I can at least start drankin'

Guys I'm reduced to reading Wikipedia's front page for a distraction.
Did you know today is the 102nd anniversary of Archduke Ferdinand's assassination? Concerned about what that says about our situations.

Hypothetically, of course
last week I hit a wine sale at lunch and the presence of a wine bottle in my office was too much for me, I succumbed
but also if I were to drink in the afternoon I'd be hammered/tired when I got home, would fall asleep at 6, wake up at 9 and then be wired for the whole night
so, best avoided methinks

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty disappointed in this thread's apparently apathy towards new Harry Potter material. I linked y'all a solid 45 minutes of procrastination.

I think it means we're going to get our scores today, but those scores will begin a series of events that make the next few years of our lives hell. We might also lose control of Namibia.Sarastro wrote:Guys I'm reduced to reading Wikipedia's front page for a distraction.

I haven't even considered searching for potential partners. All I think about is the next section I'm going to drill and how to be mentally prepared for test day so I don't fuck up and have to take it again. And even if I do succeed and go to Harvard and land an interview with Big Law they'll say "what are you doing here, you're a wreck, why do you refuse to make eye contact with us" and while I stare at the floor I'll say in monotone "I scored in the 99.4th percentile on the LSAT"
