Eh, the last 10 pages or so are really just a coding/CS circlejerk, so you didn't miss anything. The first half the thread is very valuable though.Smallville wrote:yeah brutal thread, but great to read b4 hand.... im a few pages beind its current spot I think, stopped keeping up awhile ago :/Bearlyalive wrote:On the topic of going into law for money (or because you think Suits is a cool show, which, while I agree with you, I hope there certainly is not anyone ITT for whom that is a reason to go to law school), this thread should be required reading:

True.. It's just that when I was a first year there was a ridiculous amount of people also in first year that wanted to go to law school for money (so I guess 6 years of schooling) . One of my professors had to straighten everyone outR. Jeeves wrote:I'm guessing people that want to do law school solely for money are already in UG going in a particular path that doesnt lead to big finance or google or whatever (or out of UG already). If youre making this decision before UG then lol yeah, lawyring for money is dumb.TAD wrote:There are easier ways to make money than 7 years of schooling. So if that's the sole goal, it's an inefficient process to do it through law school.nerdylsat wrote:Soo, does anyone here wanna be a lawyer for a reason besides money?

That's oddly satisfying. I bet they have cubicles and water coolers and have to suffer all day thinking "How do these damn TLS testers keep figuring out our games?"ayylmao wrote:Day 10 post-LSAT
I have been reduced to looking up LSAC's offices on Google Street View. Turns out they're in an exceptionally bland office park that's across the street from a cemetery and the College Board. Oddly fitting, don't you think?

Whenever I hear someone talk, I keep thinking in terms of an LR assumption question. I can't even go on facebook anymore.

Suits is the fucking bomb! But yeah, anyone that thinks the practice of law is a clone of suits (besides the paperwork you see), should really do more research and/or shadow an attorney for a day ;P

Is it strange that I crave the instability of this field? For some reason I do my best when I'm stressed and keep my head down for days at a time (definitely not good for the relationship though).Bearlyalive wrote:On the topic of going into law for money (or because you think Suits is a cool show, which, while I agree with you, I hope there certainly is not anyone ITT for whom that is a reason to go to law school), this thread should be required reading:

I just discovered the National Law Journal. Have you or anyone else gone through those articles? That might be my Friday.

Does anyone want to share target schools? Is that too much information to scrub at a later date?

Hey guise so I was just reading Cooley's wiki page and stumbled across this gem of a quote:
"(the) class that Cooley admitted in 2015 is statistically the worst entering class of law students in the history of American legal education at an ABA-Accredited law school"
So I beg the question- why in the world anyone go there...? Also consider their 39% bar pass rate.

Oh man, Cooley lol. I think I saw on some other thread that their library is really nice or something? And that that is how they get people to go there, idkkkkkkpatttt wrote:Hey guise so I was just reading Cooley's wiki page and stumbled across this gem of a quote:
