I've been studying 3-4 hours a day for nearly the past two months in preparation for the June LSAT, with most of my focus going towards the reasoning and games sections. I've invested in all three Powerscore bibles, but have only taken a single practice test thus far under simulated conditions. I scored a 157, and am feeling really discouraged. I know I can score higher, but don't know if I can make up for the lack of practice tests between now and June 6.
My undergrad GPA was alright at 3.49, but I'm really shooting for a high LSAT score. I've read some pretty good arguments for taking the LSAT more than once, so I'm debating if I should just keep my June date and PT relentlessly. Then again, if I'm going to take it in September again, why not just wait until then anyway to give it the best chance for a high initial score?
I'm kicking myself pretty hard for ignoring the PTs, and am a bit ashamed of having done so. Deadline to postpone is before midnight tonight so between now and then I'm going to do another test to better gauge my grasp.

Re: Should I postpone?
You really should consider postponing until September with the intention of applying in Fall of 2017.
That should give you adequate study time and you won't waste a take. You will then have the opportunity to retake the following December and June and submit applications on day 1.

I think you should definitely postpone until September. 2 weeks isn't enough to do a sufficient amount of timed preptesting. I'm sure your potential is higher than where you're scoring now, and there's no point in stressing yourself out and saddling yourself with a weak LSAT score. This isn't a test you can cram for, and that will most likely be a very negative experience for you. If you do well in September, you'll still be able to apply early in the coming cycle. You even have the option of the December test if you're set on going to law school in 2017.CannedLaughter wrote:I've been studying 3-4 hours a day for nearly the past two months in preparation for the June LSAT, with most of my focus going towards the reasoning and games sections. I agree. Taking practice tests under realistic conditions is the most important part of preparing. Don't burn a take if you're not practice testing where you want to score.CannedLaughter wrote:I've been studying 3-4 hours a day for nearly the past two months in preparation for the June LSAT, with most of my focus going towards the reasoning and games sections. You should plan on taking the September test. That is still early for next cycle. After you get the result back from September you'll have an idea about whether you'll need to take another year.
