This photo requirement...

Post by carasrook » Mon May 16, 2016 1:14 pm

So I got a passport photo printed, scanned it, and submitted it as my LSAT photo. We got that email today about the LSAT photo requirement... and it freaked me out. So I ran to both Walgreens AND CVS only to find out they do not do digital passport photos - someone help! Where did you get your photo taken???

What's wrong with the one you got? It just can't be the same as the photo on your government ID.

I literally just took a selfie of my face and shoulders against a white wall.

It's a scan :( They said not to scan it in...and tbh the scan is fine but not indistinguishable from a high quality uploaded photo

The proctors really just need to be able to see your face in the picture. When I took the LSAT, I had my roommate take a picture of me on my phone, and sent that to my (fairly low quality) color printer. Nothing bad happened.

If you're super concerned about getting an actual passport photo, I've used https://www.epassportphoto.com/ in the past. They are a solid service, if a bit shady.

The instructions say you can't scan your actual ID photo, but they don't say you can't scan another photo. But you could also just take a picture against a white wall if you're worried still. They didn't say it needs to be done professionally.

SOOO DANK. I haven't tried Auntie Anne's Cinnamon Pretzel Bites yet but idk it will be hard to top Wetzels. I'm pretty sure Wetzels gives you way more bites too.

Does LSAC care if it's color or B&W? I think I remember reading that they would take either.

I doubt schools will see them or ugly people like me will probably start filing lawsuits that they were denied admission because of their appearance and not because of their sub par numbers. It's the age of litigiousness

Y'all. This photo should be at the bottom of a long list of things to be concerned about while taking the LSAT/applying to law school.

I'm saying this out of love!

I've taken the lsat twice. First time, I went in with a passport style photo I took on my phone and it was no problem. Second time, I had an inexperienced proctor made a big fuss about it not being an "official passport" photo. She refused to begin the exam until she called lsac and got verification that my photo was allowed to be used. It literally delayed testing by 30 minutes and everyone in the testing center hated me. In the end lsac told her she was wrong and that I was correct but it was a shitty ordeal.

I would go to cvs or something just to be safe.

Not as many calories as you might think!! The Cinna Bitz is like 500 for the whole bag (not bad at all IMO). Also, my tar is Alison DiLaurentis, star of Freeform's PRETTY LITTLE LIARS! Awesome show if you haven't seen it.

It's driving me nuts as well. I can't be so weak minded. I'm not even worried about the LSAT--->my score. I'm just worried about being sent away on exam day. All these emails about photo requirements are nauseating and making me nervous. How can such a simple request require several emails from LSAC?

Hello,
So I've had my photo uploaded to LSAT and it's a selfie I took against a white wall but the photo goes a little bit past my shoulders. My face is very clear and it meets the requirements otherwise. I e-mailed LSAC to see if they could verify that its acceptable but its MDW so I won't hear back until Tuesday. I'm getting a little worried that they wont accept it because it goes past my shoulders a little. Do you think that they'll accept it?
