Blind review
Is it detrimental to blind review an entire test? I have been taking a PT, then reviewing the entire thing slowly with a new scan-tron sheet question by question making sure I am eliminating all 4 incorrect answers, then scoring both before and after the BR.

That sounds pretty intense and awesome; I typically only BR problems I got wrong and ones I asterisked markedbeenoparte125 wrote:Is it detrimental to blind review an entire test? Re: Blind review
It's made me feel pretty good about review, and I think I have a good rhythm of taking a PT, BRing 2 sections the next day, 2 more the next day, followed by another PT. I'm just curious if anyone has any reason that this may actually be harmful rather than helpful.
I have only been doing this one week, I need a few more weeks to see if there are positive returns on the time.

IMO it depends on what you're currently scoring.

I agree that a lot depends on how you're scoring and where you are in your prep. If it's early in prep and/or your score is a good deal lower than you're aiming for, then this is a good strategy. It gets you familiar with the test and all the questions. However, if you're further along in your prep and/or only have a small number of areas that need improvement, then you're likely spending a lot of time reviewing questions that you don't need to review. You'd be better off spending that time on the areas where you need the most improvement.

I'm pretty much hovering around 170 now, give or take 2 points.

Yeah in that case, I would say its not worth going over literally every problem. Go over every problem that you can't come up with a legit reason why the four wrong answers are wrong and why the correct answer is correct. That should still probably be a good amount of problems.beenoparte125 wrote:Thanks guys.somethingelse55 wrote:IMO it depends on what you're currently scoring.

Thanks, yeah, I'm at a weird place where I can't exactly pinpoint which question type I'm having trouble with... I am going through a lot of earlier PTs now and there are some LR questions I would say are pretty tough that I can narrow down to 2 possible answers and then have to pick one... so if I had to pick a question type I'd say... particularly tough questions ? lol.

Re: Blind review
This weekend I'll look at the last 10 PTs I've done and try and find some consistent weakness.

Re: Blind review
That's pretty common when you're already scoring so high. You just gotta work on being consistent, which will primarily come from BRing how I've mentioned (really understanding why each wrong answer is wrong plus why TCR is TCR) plus your intangibles.beenoparte125 wrote:somethingelse55 wrote:Yeah in that case, I would say its not worth going over literally every problem. Have you tried using 7sage's LSAT analytics? It can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you.beenoparte125 wrote:This weekend I'll look at the last 10 PTs I've done and try and find some consistent weakness.
