Yea man...Immodium is what's up if you're ever in a "I can't possibly shit right now" situation. Puts a stop to all that nonsense with a quickness.

Learned this back in the day when i was flying jets. My worst nightmare would've been the fire shits at 40K feet while strapped into my ejection seat for a 12-hour, trans pacific. I'd take Immodium preflight and it never let me down. Battle tested man. 8)

Omg, might be the best post I've ever read here on TLS. Lmao. Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely buying. How long does it normally take to start feeling the effects?

It really is. I feel like the amount of times during my LSAT prep that I have replayed in my head the scene where she gets her LSAT score and yells "179!" to all of her sorority sisters is... too many. Also, I wish my LSAT prep could have been a nice montage, rather than 2 months of thinking "I'm totally going to fuck this up somehow."

You seem like you're kicking ass, so you'll probs be fine no matter what. :)

My plan is to PT Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (take Saturday off cuz its my birthday), and then try to make sure I'm doing at least 1 section of each LR, RC, and LG every day or every two days of the last week, just so I don't get rusty. Maybe also drill some easy LR questions types just for confidence.

TBH - I avoid anything too strict. Rather, I move on from a question after I've read through it more than twice... generally speaking, I'll get to #20 with ~10-12 minutes remaining if things are moving/clicking, and, typically, I'll be doing the last question and one or two to double check in the last five or so.

Good question brotha...not sure. The key to success here is not to wait until you're feeling that "pinch". Do you like you do when you go out to the club: go ugly early--pop that sumbitch with your breakfast "Moons over my Hammy" and strut into that testing center with confidence. :D

^ same.
I used to be very persnickety about being 1 min/question for the first 15-17 qs. Now my strategy is to take the time I need, within reason, and not freak out if I'm going slower than usual.

Okay, thats what I am doing now. I tend to finish the sections fine without really having to pay attention. Today's PT which im about to grade timing felt great compared to my last PT. Few minutes left over and didnt feel rushed. I rarely have enough time to go back and review multiple questions, but i typically only mark 1 or 2 that I really want to review. Most that I circle to BR are ones that I have gone through completely, but just am not 100% confident on the answer, so even when I go BR if that question is wrong I will still get it wrong.

Yeah - that's the way to go IMO. If you aren't having timing issues generally, chances are you are progressing at the correct pace for you (i.e. maybe the section. I've noticed that when I have looked at my watch I do get a little anxious if I'm under that 60sec/question pace which is a bit asinine. One has to be cognizant of time, but you shouldn't let it dictate your strategy (until maybe the last 60 seconds make your final guess moments).

This is going to sound arrogant (sorry about that), but I think it's probably a healthy mindset for this test:

I know that I haven't failed a section due to time in 4-5 months. I also know I'm consistently PTing well into the 170's. So, when I run into a question or a group of questions that bog me down time wise, I tell myself to chill and take all the time I need to answer them correctly.

Why? Well, as I see it, I'll be a top 1 or 2 percent tester and top 1 or 2 percent testers don't have timing issues. So, I proceed with confidence regardless of what's thrown at me. If I hit a slow patch, I accept that's how the test is written (there have to be "discriminator" questions) and I know it means that some "gimme" questions are just ahead I can breeze through.

Now, I fully admit this perspective is hyper-confident, but I think a hyper-confident attitude is needed to succeed on this damn LSAT. If you know you're good and "play the game" accordingly, you're less likely to get flustered or rattled. That's a good thing. It also allows you to find your center and get into a flow.

Works for me, anyway. /TonyRobbins

hi friends!!

feeling pretty good today. i took the test i bombed in june yesterday and managed a 174, which i'm very happy about, and just took PT 71 this evening and got a 173 (LR -4, LG -1, RC -5), pretty good curve i guess.

gonna take it easy this week, maybe do one more PT next weekend and then take it easy the week leading up to the test. i'm taking friday (23rd) off of work - i was really debating it because i feel like there isn't much of a point, but i'll try and use it to get into the right mindset and relax.

a word of caution: PLEASE don't do what i did leading up to june and overwork yourselves this week and next - it absolutely killed me.

my mom, who ran a marathon many years ago, compared the LSAT to training for a marathon. leading up to a race, most training schedules don't let you run at all immediately prior. ALL your body wants to do is run, because that's what you've been doing for months, but it's best if you just relax. your body's telling you to run, but you gotta relax otherwise you'll burn out!

What up dude??

Good. My last five have been above 175 so, I expect I'll botch game time (standard) but still write a respectable 170-171.

It's great to see things progressing for you as well. I fully expect to be begging you, Mikey, Pretzel and Jeeves for jobs 20 years down the road after you all graduate from HYS and become hiring partners at all the V20 firms with badass "of council" compensation packages. 8)

In LSAT terms, what does "on balance" mean, like on average, or what?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
