Mmmmmmm sounds perfect. I'm a sucker for $10 wine. My personal favorite is Gascon Malbec. Thanks for the recommendation.

I think 7sage needs to readjust his RC difficulty rankings. All the new tests (I haven't checked but it sure feels like it), from the 50's to 70's seem to be ranked either 4 or 5 stars, dots, whatever. Probably true from an objective basis (when compared to RC passages from the 20's/30's/40's) but I get the impression this is the new normal for the foreseeable. If difficulty rankings are going to have value, it'd be nice to know if if PT7X is harder, easier or about average for the last, I dunno, 20 tests or so. In other words, make his ratings based on a moving average. Just a thought...

Duuuuddee! I am going to have to try that Malbec! I have been on a huge Malbec kick recently. After watching the movie "Focus" and Margot Robbie drinking it all the time lol--she urged me to try it and now I love it.

Other than that, Ive been crushing Chateau St michelle's Pinot Grigio over the summer. A little more expensive at ~$20/bottle, but its worth it here and there. Especially for some day drinking spritzs

Just got into this class I've been on the waitlist for all weekend. Fall 2k16 scheduling crisis resolved (hopefully.) Phew...

Officially resolved to not take a PT until next Wednesday. I'm calm now, but if I get below a 174 on that test I'm gonna freak the fuck out.

History. the only alternative neuro class that's not full has a midterm right after the lsat so I'm just gonna take an extra class for my degree next semester to make up for it.

Agree about the RC. It's not particularly helpful when every RC is labeled as 'hardest'. They should maybe reset the difficulties for newer PTs or something as I think difficulty is just based off the % of their students that get something wrong.

Never been too much of a white wine person. I actually do really like Gerwutzaminer, esp. with chinese or thai food, but that's about it. IIRC, Zind-Humbrecht makes a good one. $10-20 is a good price point for wine. There isn't really a point to spend all that much more... the only exception is that I haven't really had/found a good bottle of cheaper ($10-$30) wine that has some of the darker and 'more serious' flavors like tobacco and such which I love (which is weird, because I don't smoke).

For champagnes, Veuve > Moet and Krug Grand Cuvee >> Dom... oh, and MOET Ice is kind of hilariously amazing in some iconoclast type way - champagne intended to be drank on ice. It tastes like boozy Martinelli's.

totally agree with your Champagne preference... Veuve is my go-to or Moet Imperial. I need to try Moet Ice--I am always tempted too when I see it in its fancy bottle in the store. If you ever get a chance to try Champagne from Tattinger.. its phenomenal. Tattinger lines of Champagne are def my favorite of what I have had thus far.

Man I truly do not understand the answers for Q16 and 19 from PT65 Section 3. If anyone has the time to give an explanation it'd be appreciated.
[+] Spoiler
For 16 is it that in Passage A, it notes that you have the right of freedom of speech to make a disclosure and in Roman law, the blackmailer has to prove that he had just cause for revealing the information?

I don't have it on me, but, IIRC, the main thing with the type of law in passage B is that the only thing that matters is whether harm is done and, if there is harm, there is very little that one can use as a defense. Hopefully, that helps a bit but I'm just not sure exactly where that passage is.

It's quite sweet but it's pretty refreshing. Similar to that cider over ice (really long Swedish sounding name with a K or something). I'll have to give it a try sometime or next time I need champagne.

just finished doing PT-73, one of the few remaining fresh ones for me.

168.

i am disappointed as i ran out of time for 2 qs on fifth LR section due to fatigue, and that could have pushed me into the 170. i pray that doesn't happen on the game day and i hope it give me some confidence that 17X score is attainable. it seems like the curve wasn't too bad and i missed total -15.
i have already looked at my RC score, which is -6, because i couldn't resist before doing BR.

how did people who have done PT-73 RC found it relative to other recent ones?

PT65 this fine morning. Couldn't get my mind into anything LSAT yesterday so I'll be making up for that by possibly doing 2 PTs today. Meeting with a professor for a LOR tomorrow too, so hopefully my apps will start falling into coherency.

What's wrong with your pic?
Even though I uploaded it in June, turns out it doesn't completely fill the box (there's less than a quarter inch gap at the bottom). Didn't notice this until last week after the deadline to change your picture already passed. So I'm calling LSAC today. Will keep ya'll posted.

I hope you get it worked out. it seems absurd to deny you admission based on something so minor.

Hmm, that might no be an issue but you're just going to have to hope for someone who isn't a jackass to check you in. From June, I saw a few people's pics with slight abnormalities but they still got in. The only person I saw get denied was someone who had another person in their picture

Slept in so it looks like PT 77 will have to be after class this afternoon, although I just remembered I have a meeting this afternoon. Shoot.
PT 34 this morning - -2 LR2. Dumb mistake and bombed a simple NA question. Yikes.

Yeah, I'd hate to be doing this thing sleep deprived. Forcing myself to wake up early sometimes works but it's been totally ineffective this week.

Tbh I think my plan (at least part of it) is to make sure I've gotten a lot of sleep on the days leading up to the LSAT (as opposed to making sure I'm waking up at exactly 4:30 am every day, or something). The effects of too little sleep are cumulative, and I'd rather perform this test one night behind on sleep (if it comes to that) than four nights behind.

PT 77 last night after a looooong day which included attempting and failing to fix my damned toilet. Now I have even less confidence in my plumbing abilities than my LSAT abilities.

LR: -1
RC: -2
LG: -2
LR: -3

Raw: 93
Scaled: 173
BR: 176

Mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, I felt like I completely bombed just about every section, so I should be happy that I didn't. On the other hand, I'm still getting snagged by one or two stupid mistakes during games, which really ticks me off. The LR and RC questions I missed were tough, so I'm not feeling too bad about that.

And since I know some folks have 77 slated for the next couple days, I'll tuck this reaction away here:

WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL WAS UP WITH GAME 3?! I read the setup and nearly shat myself.

I took PT 73 on Friday, and also scored a 168, which was a few points lower than my two most recent tests (174 on PT 62, and 173 on PT 76). Honestly, the test burned me out. I really dropped the ball on LR (-5 and -4, respectively). I did go -2 on RC, though, so that really wasn't where I struggled the most on that test. But the passage about Marcusians and their views on advertising made me want to punch myself in the face. I think the amount of wrestling I had to do with that passage affected my confidence on the rest of the test.

On break between classes.. Just did PT44 LG section, I did this section quite a while ago and game 4 still gets me, haha.

LG: -1 (29:17)
The missed question was in game 4 (not surprised) and it's a question that I misread, which from what I remember, happened the last time I did this game too, LMAO.

i somehow didn't find that passage to be any issue but the arts passage is likely where i messed up and i found it very hard. it took me like 6-7 minutes only to read the passage and about 12 minutes overall on that one.

i found LR incredibly hard in both sections. there were some tough questions even very early on in the sections like somewhere between q1-q8, and some of the LR questions are very new not the kind you'd see in other 70s PTs including the recent ones. Due to reordering my last section was LR1 and I'd circled at least 5-6 questions on the LR with 25q but never got a chance to go back to them and it looks like i missed most of them.
