That's good man. I think the consensus from looking at other threads is to relax for a few days before the exam. Someone had a schedule type thing for what you should do the week leading up to the test and when you should stop prepping but I forgot where.
I mean, fwiw, I prepped until the day before June's test and look where that got me haha.
I think something to do before the test (few days before with no prep) is to just go over your strategies for everything on the test. Not necessarily doing sections or questions, but just jogging your memory of what approaches you take for a question type, game , etc
So, would this make sense?
Do my full 3 section drilling every day leading up to the week of the LSAT. Then, the week of the LSAT, do a section a day, but otherwise chill. Day before, do nothing. Morning of, do a full warmup.

I keep pushing my PT back but I feel like I have to. Pushing it to Tuesday, and will just be completing an LG section and an LR section today. RC tomorrow, and then PT on Tuesday.
Idk, I feel better about studying again but I feel like jumping into a PT so soon after being slightly burnt out isn't good. Anyways, heading to sbux, fkin obvi. Will try to find a table there to prep with noise, if I can't find anything I'll just come back home.

Yeah that seems good imo. Why no more PTs though? I think you should chill for at least 2 days before the test instead of 1. I mean it might not make a whole lot of difference but I feel like it would for me. But if you can deal with that pace, go for it!

Tbh, I think I'm ready to get a 180, and the only way I keep myself from a 170+ is by psyching myself out. Sometimes I'll freak out after a full test, and I think drilling each section once a day will help me stay chill and remember that the test is really only 3 things, tested in 5 sections. Also, I've had 0 problems regarding endurance/test day simulations, so I think that between now and test day I just need to stay cool and stay sharp.

Best of luck with the 180. I wouldn't get disheartened. Anything above a 176-177 or so has a slight hint of luck to it. You start to get penalized so heavily for a question that you could lose a point just from not reading a "the", a "only", etc.
Anywho... finished most of my macro that automatically writes my questions to a word document. About the only thing I could improve upon is finding a way to check whether the most recently typed question would break columns, and, if so, insert a column break before it so that it fits two or more questions per column when possible. If anyone knows that, hit me up...using a typetext method...it's kind of funny to watch it type really fast. If anyone decides to make a spreadsheet of questions they missed, feel free to use a variant of this to plug it to word... made some note next to where you need to modify it

Damn you are the man! You do coding, LSAT, and are an incredible writer!
That is so awesome! Thank you so much for this
Haha thanks.
If interested I can send you the workbook sans questions. It has mildly improved code so you don't need to into VBA to adjust be ranges anymore and it will do it automatically.
I really want to find out a way to find out if the question splits. I think I can probably get around it in a less than ideal fashion.
It also has a sheet that displays one question at a time with the answer hidden but you can reveal it. Either in order or randomly. I could add a filter by type but I'm not going to use that so I probably won't. Made for current excel but should work in all versions.
Anywho. Taking today easy. Diag tomorrow. Also did not sleep well last night. Maybe do one or two RC passages.
Sample sale (maybe for myself maybe to sell) and dinner with friends.
Awesome! I have all the tests and cambridge packets on PDF, would there be a way for me to implement this into the code you've written. Either way, I think its so damn cool you do so much, lol.
Good luck on your diagnostic tomorrow. I hope you're not on TLS and enjoying time with friends
You grind hard, take a break!
Thanks again haha. I'm not really sure to be honest. It probably depends the PDFs and whether there is actual text, they are just images, or whatever. If protected, probably not. If not protected and text, it would probably be pretty easy to export the questions. It not protected and images, it would depend on whether one can grab portions of the page corresponding to questions. I'm not familiar with that, but I imagine it could be done by checking the background color of the page or something since the footer/margin/column spacing is always the same.
Yeah - I was out a bit late. I'll do my diagnostic when I'm awake later or tomorrow. I didn't see the benefit of slogging through the diagnostic / wasting it while I was just really tired / not functioning.

Was seriously considering waking up early and doing another PT this morning. Opted to shut off my alarm and sleep in instead. Not at the level of a PT two days in a row yet it seems.
Heavy LR drilling today, and a good deal of the other two.

Well I kind of purposely made it that way. Don't want to get fucked with some type of copyright stuff since I know mods are pretty strict with that kind of stuff.

Oh - haha. I suppose that makes sense.
I think I'm going to head to Starbucks just do some light stuff to get mind going and then do the diagnostic I'm supposed to take today.

OK, serious question:
I have a professional relationship of several years with a very successful Yale Law alumnus. While he is not writing either of my rec letters, I'm considering asking him for a Yale specific rec letter. Good idea or bad idea?

I've never say here and studied and I like it. Gets me accustomed to some noise around while doing LSAT stuff even though test day won't be THIS noisy but it's good to get used to being able to focus around noise I suppose

I can't do LR that well with all the distractions. LG I'm fine with.
Part of me was/is worried that I remember / recognize questions too well. Granted, I suppose this is a boon. There are only so many ways to structure logic games and only so many ways to structure LR questions.
I feel like if there is any question on lobster cannibals, I'll pick the answer about not being hungry or whatever on autopilot haha.

that's great job on rc. how do you finish rc section in 25 min? like how much time do you spend reading the passage. which pt?
PT 5. I think I spent about 2.5-3 min reading per passage on this one and 6 -7 ish in full. Usually 3 min/passage.
This was a speed exercise - ie I was intentionally trying to do it faster than usual, shooting for under 30 min. I was very surprised that I finished at the 25 min mark and got no worse then -1. RC is not my strong suit, particularly where speed is concerned.

I'd be weary. I think it's to give yourself a buffer if possible on RC, but I don't see a reason to give yourself a 10 min buffer. Going back to earlier passages to finish skipped questions (besides maybe a straight list and that's dubious even.). Granted, if just an exercise go for it!
Oct 2011 RC #24 (passage four) is quite possibly the single most obnoxious RC question I have seen yet during prep.

I think RC with distractions is the worst. Any semi-continuous stream of noise with semantic significance in the vicinity. and I'm lost.
I was just thinking about how many games I've inadvertently memorized all of the rules for.
Way too many.

I'm not sure how that whole thing works with having someone who is an alum from the school doing a lor for you. But i would assume that it won't hurt you, but then again Yale is pretty unpredictable so I'm not sure. You should try going over to the Yale 2019 applicant thread and asking for some advice on that

I don't see it hurting. It could look a little bad if it's an obviously bogus thing (like a dads friend), but, if a professional relationship, it cannot hurt IMO. It'd be more beneficial if he's involved with the alumni associations or the undergrad but helpful in either case probably.

Going back and rewatching the NA lessons in 7sage I feel so dumb. JY explains them in perfect terms I can relate to (basketball) I nearly fell out of my chair laughing because they're so simple to find....tomorrow needs to come sooner so I can wreck PT60.
