1 week to improve LG

Post by footballlax55 » Sun Jan 31, 2016 5:52 pm

Hey guys, does anyone have advice on how I can get my Logic Game section back to 0/-1?

I was averaging around 1 wrong per section on the last 10 or 15 tests leading up to the October test. But since I started studying for the February test I've been averaging 4 wrong.
In the beginning I ran out of time on a few tests due to pacing issues which forced me to guess, but now I'm also hit with tough questions that legitimately force me to guess due to time constraints or sometimes I just make a mistake or get one wrong.

In an attempt to get back up to snuff I redid all the LGs from PT 41-50 grouped by game type and did really well on most of them. (on top of the other PTs I've been doing)
One thing I havent been doing this time around is watching the 7sage videos on how to do the games when I get them wrong/ they take me too long. Instead I just try to redo the game the next day and almost always get it perfect and much quicker. I guess I'll try to go back to watching the videos for the tough ones because maybe that made the difference, but does anyone else have advice on what to do? I'm missing out on easy points.

Just drill relentlessly. Really no magic advice other than that.

Yeah it's just a matter of being in practice IMO. I wouldn't even attribute it to 7sage. The LSAT is a precision exam, and right now you are not at 100% precision, which is to say you are missing things that are right on the page in front of you :). It's all right there on the page, and you just gotta be in practice to keep track of it all at once.

Alright, that was the plan.

The only thing was that I've done like 15 PTs since i restarted studying, but I;m averaging 4 wrong. Meanwhile 10-15 PTs into studying last time I was averaging 0-2 wrong. And I'd think that I'd be better or the same at this point along in the studying as last time since, if anything, I'm more familiar with them.

I'm hoping that it's just because I've been tired on the past few and on the first few I misread a ton. So if I don't misread and I'm not tired then I should do better.
