I've been studying LSAT for about 5 months and my score has been improved from 134 to consistent low 160s.
Lately I've been slacking since the whole test prep was getting languid and it was hard to focus since the June test seems so far away. I've been going for the June test because I want to get 168+. Is it possible to work hard for a month and get above 165 and possibly 168?
I solved about 25 prep tests, and plan to take about 25 more before the Feb test if I take one.
Will it be better to wait, try not to be slack, and take June test or take the Feb one?
(Usually I get -7~10 on RC, -1~-3 on Game, -9~14 on LR).
Any opinion will be appreciated. Thank you.

It is possible. But first you're going to have to break your lull. Take a weekend of prep off. Relax for a few days. Don't think about the LSAT. This will let your mind refresh. Look at some of the schools that you want to attend. This may motivate you. Don't take the test until you are scoring at your goal. If you are scoring a high of 163 around this time, it's not likely you'll score 168+ on the Feb test. You'll need consistent scores around 168+ to be able to reasonably expect a score of the same on test day.

First off, great job so far. A jump from 134 to the 160s is huge, don't discount that.myk247 wrote:I've been studying LSAT for about 5 months and my score has been improved from 134 to consistent low 160s.

Given your score breakdown, I wouldn't recommend going for the February test. Given that it's harder to improve your score the higher up you go, you almost definitely don't have enough time to improve that much. Even if you crammed and studied all day, the stress would probably keep you from properly absorbing the knowledge, not to mention performing well on test day. 9 days just isn't enough time. If you're really set on a 168+, stay focused on June. Try and space out your prep schedule a bit more if you're getting bored. Mix it up. Find a study partner, a new studying area, or a new resource. It's not as far off as it seems, and it's hard to gauge how quickly you'll improve, so don't slack for too long.
Also, I'm assuming you already registered for the Feb test if you're considering this, give the deadline was weeks ago.

Re: Getting 160s and aiming for Feb LSAT?
I can only give you my experience here. I was averaging 160-165 on my tests (the 165 was retaking the june and oct lsat that I bombed) a few weeks before the exam. I ended up ignoring LG for the most part for a big chunk of my prep because I am very very strong in LG. With 2 weeks left I spend that first week hammering LR and RC and with the final week i switched into almost exclusively LG. This gave my brain a rest from LR/RC and kept me consistent in my LSAT prep. I ended up jumping to a 167 which is higher than anything Ive taken. In fact, the only reason I didnt to better was the hellish 3rd game where I got -4 (when i consistently go -2) and I had -8 RC. My LR improved to -4 total from an average of -10 total.
If you absolutely plan to take Feb, let your brain rest and keep your mindset positive. I went in with a completely unstressed mindset and felt great afterwards.
I wasnt a 170+ scorer, but i hope this helps.
