Some of the politicians who strongly supported...

Stumped on this question. Why is (E) wrong, isn't it just an exact paraphrase of the stim?

Nope. The stimulus is talking about supporting publicly, answer E is talking about opposing publicily. Just because they do not support publicly does not mean they now oppose it. Look at choice D. I believe that is right, because it talks about refusing to support in public. I think that this is the same queston but it's section 3 for me, I took the test in October. Let me know if it isn't.

Got turned around by that subtle difference there, thanks.

Yeah, section 3. Just looked at MLSAT explanations and they have it as section 2, so I just went with that.
