PowerScore RC Book
Has anyone used PowerScore's RC book? Is it worth getting? I'm currently missing 2-6 questions per section (RC is my weakest area), and need to be more consistent.

Re: PowerScore RC Book
Read both Manhattan and Powerscore and Manhattan RC is way better.
On LR and LG I would PS is better though.

Is an RC book worth getting? Do you feel that you made substantial improvements, and that you learned important tricks/tips, or is learning RC something that has to be primarily done on your own?

Re: PowerScore RC Book
i bought a used manhattan book from amazon for around $5 (3rd edition), i wouldn't say it helped me substantially but there were a few pointers in there that i never thought of before so it good for tweaking my overall strategy. if you have a BN near you, i'd suggest going in and checking it out a bit. I got -1 on the RC for Oct and it was my strongest section starting out so your experience may differ.RamTitan wrote:Is an RC book worth getting? Is this what you're referring to - http://www.lsac.org/jd/lsat/prep/reading-comprehension?newcareernewtown wrote:I would read LSAC's official guide for RC. Most blow them off but they were the first company I saw that didn't just dismiss RC as an expansion of LR.
And ya know, they kinda wrote the test.

Re: PowerScore RC Book
If you decide to buy the Manhattan RC guide, make sure to go for the 4th edition. Heard on multiple occasions that it is much longer & more effective than the 3rd edition, which has essentially been described as a glorified pamphlet.
I'm currently about 40% through the 4th edition and already seeing results. Passages have become easier to dissect and comprehend. Getting much more accurate w/ questions too. Timing still needs work, but I know that primarily requires practice.
