LG: Manhattan vs Powerscore vs ???
Hey all. Polling to see what book you guys see as the best for studying LG. Having read a bunch of the guides, I've heard conflicting opinions between Manhattan, Powerscore, Blueprint, etc. Any thoughts?
Getting ready to begin studying (3 month study plan) and want to make sure I'm allocating my time efficiently. Thanks!

I started with powerscore, which was great for getting a foundation in how to think about LG, particularly linear games. However, after I had been practicing for awhile with powerscore I hit a wall. I used the free 7 sage video explanations of every LG game and started to improve much faster. If I had to go through again from the beginning I would have skipped the bible and gone straight to the online course with 7 sage.

Good to know! Did you just do old games and then watch the 7sage videos? So if you were starting out would you just jump right into doing games and then learning from mistakes by watching videos?seagan823 wrote:I started with powerscore, which was great for getting a foundation in how to think about LG, particularly linear games. I actually think I would pay the money for their online course rather than use power score. I had the basic knowledge and skills from power score but I ended up tweaking my diagrams and game type classifications based on the free 7 sage videos. I imagine I would have been able to cut down on the time it took me to learn games inside and out significantly if I had just started my learning with 7 sage. Powerscore spends a lot of time classifying things and making sure you perfect diagramming to an insane degree. When I got to the actual test and was confronted by a problem that looked slightly dissimilar to practice problems I would freak out or spend too much time looking for the "right" diagram. 7 sage takes a more intuitive approach, giving you basic tools but teaching you better overall problem solving skills as opposed to over complicated tricks and diagrams.

Manhattan + 7sage helped me the most. PS didn't click for me especially in pure sequencing.

Did both. Both taught me useful things.
Also, this is true for me for sequencing:
