LG: Too close to 35 Minutes

Post by biggestlawman » Sun Nov 01, 2015 3:38 pm

I have made great progress in LG, but from time to time, I find myself finishing too close to 35 mins, and every once in while, I take few seconds more than 35 minutes. With 34 days to the December test, what should I do to bring the finish time in sufficiently? I want to be in a place where I know that I will finish the section in the test. I will appreciate your suggestions. Thanks.

BTW, I score anywhere from -0 to -3.

Drill by question type. Then do it again.

I went as far as timing myself on each individual game. After I finished a game, I'd glance at my stopwatch and write whatever number the timer was at. Then after I finished the section, I'd go back and figure out how long each game took. It gave me a bit more perspective on which types of games took me longer. I realized I was kind of slow on difficult In/Out games, so I practiced a lot of those. Also, if any single game takes a huge amount of time, you'll know to redo that one in the next couple of weeks.

I drilled the Cambridge bundle at least 7 times, watched every video and compared my method with theirs. Keep at it for a week or two consistently, and your speed will go up.
