MCAT Passages
What informed opinion(s) do you have about the usefulness of the MCAT RC passages? Will really appreciate the input. Thanks.

Re: MCAT Passages
From what I've taken they're much easier than RC on the LSAT. I took one MCAT RC on the Articles of Confederation, didn't even read it, and nailed it just from memory. Took some RC on dancing fucking bees or whatever on the LSAT and got wrecked. Maybe it's just me, but LSAT RC is more challenging for sure.biggestlawman wrote:What informed opinion(s) do you have about the usefulness of the MCAT RC passages? Will really appreciate the input. Re: MCAT Passages
Retaking. I used all the material for my attempt last June. Although I took a break from LSAT for 7-8 months, I only have 4 PTs that I have never seen.theugg wrote:Did you run out of real RC passages?

Thanks. Would appreciate an update based on your reassessment!McJimJam wrote:This was over a year ago for me, but I think they were much easier than the reading comp. All the answers were right in the passage and pretty easy to spot. The only thing that made the section difficult was the time constraint. I'll go back and look at my MCAT books and update with more accurate info, but I don't feel they are a good substitute (don't really force you to think in the same way as RC does).biggestlawman wrote:What informed opinion(s) do you have about the usefulness of the MCAT RC passages? Re: MCAT Passages
Thanks, McJimJam. BTW, Congratulations!McJimJam wrote:Yeah so its basically as I remembered its difficulty comes from being 7 passages in 60 minutes rather than the content actually being difficult. You're better off with older RC sections.biggestlawman wrote:Thanks. Re: MCAT Passages
there are not a lot of mcat RC sections in PT forms out there, so even if you do use them, there is not a whole lot of them.
RC is hard to improve not the least due to the limited new PTs as the older RC scores are inflated. so one is left with about 25 RC sections that are like recent RC. also, rc is likely one of the least retakeable sections.
