I took in October, got the score back, and was not as disappointed as possible, but not very happy.
I scored a 163, which compared to my 151 is ok, but compared to my 167-169 PT's, is no bueno.
My breakdown was like this:
-5 RC (Good for me, 4 or 5 is my target)
-3 Games: All game 3, read the G...G rule wrong and kept it GG...oops? (Not ideal, but I'll take it. Always factor in 2-3 just in case in my scores because it's not realistic to think I'll always get -0)
-6LR1
-8LR2
In most of my practice tests I was getting about -3 to -5 in each LR, and this was where my major hit came from in October. I have 1 month for the December test and would really like to know what a good source for drilling would be. If someone is feeling really generous, I can even put a copy of the #'s I got incorrect to help me focus. I notice a common theme of assumptions being a problem, which I was not expecting because I tended to be fine with those.
What are good drilling books for LR (preferably with explanations, but not a deal breaker, manhattan website is decent for finding the reasoning)? At this point I don't think I need the LR bible because I think I'm past that stage and I'm working 50-60 hours a week as well. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a low GPA relative to most applicants at a 3.4, LSAC adjusted 3.3 because my school has no A+ or any minus grades so I'm littered with B+'s (chemical engineering too, good enough for high honors but still I know it is a numbers game). My saving grace is that a 2 question improvement in LR gets me to where I want to be, and a perfect games cracks 170 even, but again, I'm perfectly happy with a 167+. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Re: LR got me bad, need help
LR got me too.
Starting with my cold diagnostic, my average LR scores have been (per section) -2 to -3, with a total LR (per test) average of -5/6. On this test I got -7 on EACH LR section. Not sure what the issue was. I think LR on the recent tests have changed a bit.

One of the best ways to improve on LR is by practicing many questions of one type (i.e. sufficient assumption questions, principle questions, flaw questions, etc.) in a row.
The best prep material is a book or online source that takes real LR questions and organizes them by type. Cambridge has .pdf files you can download. Kaplan has their Mastery book. I know other companies have similar. It's all the same stuff.
If you're into saving money, users on this forum have made do-it-yourself lists of LR questions by type, so I'd search for those.
