how to attack unusual LG like the directors game
On the Oct test, I had LG for dummy section. I solved previous three games very quickly and had about 20 minutes to solve the last directors game. I read and read the rules, but I couldn't figure it out within 20 minutes.. I know, it's ridiculous. I also couldn't solve PT 75 last game. I'm retaking on December and I am super worried that I won't be able to solve this kind of game.
Does anyone have a good advice? Thank you so much.

I'm not sure about the directors game, but one thing I've found with strange games is that the first question in every section can give you a good idea of how to set up and configure the game (although there have been a few exceptions). Maybe scan through all of the answers if you have a lot of time, just to get a sense of how the variables change and what kinds of answers you'll need to provide.
Second, realize that questions with strange/difficult rules often have easy questions. This should protect against a mental freak out and provide confidence. If the hard game has familiar parameters, then you can bet the questions or rule interaction will be gnarly.
For me, the key is to keep pushing through until I have a really clear picture of what's going on and what's being asked.

Be genuinely smart. "Unusual" games like that are hard because there isn't some familiar pattern or mechanical formula to apply.

74's last game is just a grouping game though, the universities are the groups and you're assigning the photographers to them.
IMO the miscellaneous games come down to how you set them up visually. That radar game for example, if you visually set it up correctly its a really really easy game.
Thank you for the post. I'm stupid.. I meant PT 75, the last game. Sorry. I have trouble setting up the board when the rules are so confusing to read...
