Re: Not sure about law while studying for LSAT
For those who are too lazy to look at OPs post history, his "okay score" is a 169.

If you have any doubts, take a few years off and do finance. Law school will always be there for you when you're ready.

Re: Not sure about law while studying for LSAT
It seems as though you do have some time to decide whether law school is for you since you plan on applying Fall 2017. It very well could be you are not motivated because you are exhausted from being in school. It is suggested to have an idea of where you would even want to go to law school and compare your LSAT score to their admissions statistics to see if you need to improve your score. Please keep in mind, it may be more competitive come Fall 2017 so be sure you have a score that is solid enough when applying to schools.
It is suggested to take the time to see if law school is something you are really able to commit to and are even interest in. You may work or intern for a firm, ask to sit in on a law school class, attend a court hearing, or contact current attorneys or law students and ask their experience and advice.

Re: Not sure about law while studying for LSAT
I'm in the same boat.
I know I think law would be a good choice for me, and everyone says only do law if you think you'd like it, but I don't know how much I need to like it. You can't measure it in units of interest or anything like that.
So Idk if I'd for sure want to do it. So I might look at going into consulting or work for a think tank or something else.
It made it a tad hard to really hunker down and study because a part of me wasn't fully committed. It's harder to commit to the LSAT when your motivation is "maybe i'll go, so I want to keep this possibility open by scoring high" rather than "this is my dream, I have to score high."
Did you have a specific question like how to motivate yourself despite your hesitancy to study law or were you just sharing your thoughts?
