Breakdown

Post by yunjh1066 » Mon Sep 28, 2015 1:02 pm

Hi,

I am on PT 50. My scores drastically dropped. I think the nervousness and distractions are causing it.
I don't think I am that burnt out since I only take about 1 PT/week due to full-time work.
But whenever I do that 1 PT on a weekend, I either go to Starbucks or a lounge area but I get easily
distracted and nervous especially whenever I encounter extremely hard RC passage or a hard game.
I try not to let it bother me and try to move on but mentally, it's just really hard.

Also, the reason I go to Starbucks is because that is the only place that opens early enough (Since I want to be up as same time as the real test date)
But, I get easily distracted... Do you guys usually stay home and do a PT?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've tried Starbucks before and can't do it. I can't imagine that I'll need to deal with music playing, people yelling out names on drinks, milk being steamed, people have loud conversations, etc.

I do mine at home or at work in a conference room or my office. I know others go to the library or bookstores. I'd suggest something along those lines.

I'd do it in a public library.
how many pts have you done? i feel like as you get into the higher numbered pts, and encounter hard RCs (because they definitely become harder) you just get used to facing challenging passages and you learn to deal with it and keep moving.
